Customer Rating: Summary: Love a Good Urban Warp Comment: Some things are just to fun to read and I am always looking for a new author. Rather new to the urban fantasy genre and repelled by the vamp worshippers...I have had a great deal of fun since discovering Butcher's Harry Dresden. Kate is a great female protagonist with all the pungent humor and wit as well as great imaginings for her world so necessary to absorb me.
Heartily recommend it!
Customer Rating: Summary: I don't know why everyone is so excited about this book Comment: I've been looking for a new urban fantasy to hold me over until Kim Harrison's next release. After reading all the glowing reviews of this book, I went ahead and bought it, despite it's cover. I thought the plot dragged, the exposition sparse and the main character uninteresting. All in all, I think it's a boring book that lacks originality.
Customer Rating: Summary: Enjoyable First Book Comment: I tend to like this style of book. It reminded me of the Dresden Files with a harder tilt to fantasy. The Heroine is tough, has power, has secrets and is willing to sacrifice for what is right. The bad guys are powerful and interesting. I will definitely continue to follow this series and recommend it to Dresden fans.
Customer Rating: Summary: It was ok, but.... Comment: I found the book a bit confusing. Too many forgetful characters and an anti-climatic end.
Customer Rating: Summary: I'm addicted... Comment: I cannot wait for the next book to come out. My husband commented that this was the fastest he's ever seen me read a book. Normally I read for 15-30 min before bed but I could not stop reading this series. It reminds me of early Anita Blake before she got all kinked out and lost my interest. I recommend this to any reader who likes urban fantasy with sexual tension. This is really a great read!
