Comment: Go Nagai strikes again! Combining an excellent story with second-rate animation and a generous helping of female nudity, he holds true to form. At the beginning of Shuten Doji, the infant Jiro Shutendo is delivered to a bewildered pair of newlyweds by nothing less than an Oni - a giant Japanese demon! - who tells them that he will return in 15 years to reclaim the child!It is now 15 years later, and young Jiro is about to confront his destiny, in a well-crafted story spanning Japanese history from the samurai period to the space-traveling future, and including an amazing plot twist only fully revealed at the end of the 4-tape epic.

Comment: There's a bit of nudity in a few scenes but no fornication. Interesting story. Jiro Shutendo is a compelling character. The art and the animation aren't exactly top-notch, but it's better than most.
