Customer Rating: Summary: Excellent! Comment: My son and I love this DVD. A great holiday story for young and old alike. One of my absolute favorite Sesame Street productions!
Customer Rating: Summary: Elmos is cute and entertaining in this one Comment: If the thought of watching Elmo makes you cringe, you will be relieved to know that he is much quieter and lovable in this film. His regular show on Seasame street is not my cup of tea but there is no piano playing and minimal elmo laughs in this one. I watched it several times and enjoyed it. Of course my 2 year old son just loved it too.
Customer Rating: Summary: Great holiday movie for all ages! Comment: This is one of my absolute favorite holiday movies, right up there with Bing and Jimmy Stewart! I bought it for my child and have loved it ever since. Watching Grover trying to sell Christmas trees is worth the price of the movie alone! Even though my child has outgrown Sesame Street, we still watch this one together every year.
Customer Rating: Summary: Great at Christmas! Comment: I don't know how many times my child watched this video, but a LOT! It doesn't talk about religion, it is more about Elmo and Santa Clause. A Fun Christmas video...
Customer Rating: Summary: Elmo Saves Christmas Comment: Oh no! Santa's stuck in the chimney! All of the noise coming from the fireplace wakes Elmo up, and suddenly, Elmo knows what he must do. With a great amount of courage, Elmo pulls Santa out. He has saved Christmas! As a reward, Santa offers Elmo the choice of a pink bear or a magical snow globe that gives you three wishes. Naturally, Elmo chooses the snow globe. Hmmm...what should Elmo wish for? A firetruck? A castle? No...Elmo wishes that it was Christmas every day! However, that's not such a good idea. The elves are baffled: they're suddenly working overtime! And even worse- Santa decides to retire! It's up to Elmo to save Christmas again, with the help of the time traveling reindeer, Lightning. Will he be able to do it?
I absolutely love this movie! It's a thrilling tale, starring our favorite little red monster, that teaches kids that too much of one thing is not good.

Editorial Reviews:

The show opens on a Christmas scene, featuring Maya Angelou explaining to Muppet characters how Elmo once got his wish that every day could be Christmas--and soon regretted it. Charles Durning and Harvey Fierstein are also on board, and there's a new friend in Lightning the reindeer, plus lots of songs. The whooshing Christmas-season feel to the story is infectious. --Tom Keogh
