Customer Rating: Summary: It Should Have Been A Complete Soundtrack Comment: I've been a long time Selena fan since before the movie, I've been a fan since her 1989 debut album. She was such a wonderful person. So devoted to her fans and was always there for family & friends. We are struck in 1995 by the shock of her death. Still to this day, I am still stunned by what happened. So two years later, when they decided to a make a bio movie, it came out great and the soundtrack was so-so. The soundtrack did include alot of great songs, I Could Fall In Love,Dreaming Of You & Only Love were all released 2 years prior to this album. The Disco Medley and The Cumbia Medley I really enjoyed, being a long time Selena fan. The unreleased tracks "Where Did The Feeling Go?","Is It The Beat?",& "A Boy Like That" are all very good tracks but none of them were included in the movie itself. The two final tribute songs "One More Time" & "Virvas Selena". They are just ok, and then again they were not included in the movie. There were alot of other song by Selena and non-Selena songs included in the movie but not on the soundtrack. For example, Guns & Roses - Welcome To The Jungle and then Selena songs including Dame Un Beso,El Chico Del Apartmento 512,No Me Queda Mas,Amor Prohibido,Si Una Vez,Somewhere Over The Rainbow, and Dulce Amor. Maybe there was not enough room but some of them should of been included here. But I would say its a good soundtrack, good but not great! Selena iVive!
Customer Rating: Summary: Love It!! Comment: I love my cd(dreaming of you) that I have gotten. I recieved it today and listened to the whole thing. But the thing is, is that i need help finding a song that she sung the last time she performed. It was on the movie and it is a spanish song. She sung it a the astrodome towards the end of the movie the last time you see her in the purple outfit. She's singing and then when the song is about to end, she pauses and says the same line over twice and points to the drums and the drummer plays and shes rocking her head back and fourth. IF anyone can help me please I need to know what song that is. OH and by the way I am talking about the movie with J.Lo in it so actually you see J.Lo doing the things that I just described.
Customer Rating: Summary: name of the song where the bus breaks down Comment: the song is called "do wa ditty" by Zapp and Roger (great synth funk band of the 80s who did the song "I wanna be your man") hope that was helpful!
Customer Rating: Summary: HELP!!!IM TRYING TO FIND THE NAME OF ONE OF THE SONGS THAT IS IN THE MOVIE, BUT.... Comment: I REALLY ENJOYED THE MOVIE SELENA AND JUST LOVED THE SOUNDTRACK. DOES ANYONE KNOW THE NAME OF THE SONG, (OR WHO SINGS IT) ITS NOT ON THE SOUNDTRACK BUT ITS IN THE MOVIE. THE SCENE IS WHEN THE BUS BREAKS DOWN AND THE 2 GUYS WHO STOP TO HELP ARE DRIVING UP IN A YELLOW CADILLAC. ANYWAY THERE IS A SONG THAT IS PLAYING ON THEIR RADIO AS IT SHOWS THEM COMING UP OVER THE HILL, AS SELENA IS STANDING ON THE SIDE OF THE ROAD WAVING AT THEM TO STOP. COULD ANYONE PLEASE TELL ME WHAT THAT SONG IS? I HAVE HAD THE SOUNDTRACK FOR YEARS, AND I WOULD REALLY LIKE TO EASE MY MIND AFTER ALL THIS TIME AND GET THE NAME OF WHO SINGS THAT SONG, OR EVEN THE NAME OF THE SONG. THANKS~~

The soundtrack to the biopic of late Texan star Selena is an even better homage to the singer than the film itself. Incorporating rare tracks, hits, and sizzling live cuts, the album brims with Selena's energy and charisma. Especially invigorating are "Disco Medley, Part II," recorded during Selena's triumphant 1995 concert at the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo, and the eight-minute live Cumbia Medley, which blends some of her biggest Spanish hits. "Where Did the Feeling Go?" is an early pop precursor to nuanced hits such as "I Could Fall in Love" and "Dreaming of You," which are also included. The album also features Selena's searing rendition of "A Boy Like That," originally featured on a West Side Story tribute album, and "Viviras Selena," a touching tribute featuring Tejano stars Jennifer Peña, Emilio, and Bobby Pulido. --Joey Guerra
