Summary: Magnificant
Comment: This group of mostly blood family members are all musically exceptional. They bring forth the soul of the Brule` Native American tribe music in such melodic and powerful ways. I had the blessing of seeing them in Overland Park KS at an Native American Exhibit and although there was not charge for me they played their hearts out. I felt very honored and deeply touched by their music. It resonates in my soul. I have some native american blood in my lineage (both parents) although I don't know the specific tribe(s) but when I listen to their music it reaches into my soul and grabs my heart in such a way that I KNOW I am one with them.

Summary: It just kinda gets "into" you...
Comment: My favorite track is Buffalo Moon--the first time I heard it on Sky.fm, my head popped over the top of the book I was reading like a gopher. The tune is basic, strong, delightfully hummable, and it sticks in my head the rest of the day if I loop it more than once. **wink** Highly recommeded!

Summary: We the People by Brule
Comment: Awesome! Heard Brule at a local art show years ago and purchased We the People then. I was really impressed how they blended the modern rhythms with the Native Indians chants and melodies. I have given several copies as gifts and each recepient has really liked this CD. Highly recommended.

Summary: Powerful, Instinctual and Resonant
Comment: Music is an indisputable link between the ages, between cultures and between individuals. Music is a force so powerful that science cannot fully define it, and yet so personal that every breathing thing resonates with its pulse.

Earliest forms of music were replicated patterns of our bodies; as humankind recognized that our breath, our pulse and our physical movements complimented cyclic patterns of flora and fauna, sun and moon, earth and sky, our music evolved as a sort of bridge to the universe.

Simply phrased, all living things possess energy and all energy possesses vibration. When vibrations occur in harmony, or resonate, the effect is pleasing. When the vibrations created by music resonate with our body's own energy vibrations, the effect is profound. Deep learning and memory functions are facilitated; healing is accomplished, stress can be eliminated, perceptions are heightened and creativity is enhanced when we can literally `tune' into the vibrations within our environment.

Research has shown that music has the capability to alter our brain's neurotransmitters! It will, for example, allow a memory link to be forged in moments, as opposed to hours or days via other methods.

In the hands of masters, music may induce physiological reactions that take listeners beyond the limitations of our five senses.

I've witnessed such behavioral changes listening to Brule's 'We The People' album. While working with abused and supposedly-unreachable children, I was often responsible for their transportation to and from appointments. During those trips, I would play this CD and watch in joyful amazement as agitated and frightened children regained a measure of peace. Their crying ceased; acting-out behaviors gave way to shy smiles. Sometimes, the little ones managed to drift into the first real sleep since their ordeal began.

Children instinctively understand what Pythagoras stated in his `music of the spheres' formula, which linked music, mathematics and color to the patterns of the universe. He stated that humans are only aware of a small fraction of the universe's energies and limited by untrained use of our senses. Nowadays, people are so often so caught up in their stress-filled environment that the 'more/louder/faster' mantra overloads their senses and leaves little opportunity for renewal of the spirit.

Paul LaRoche and the members of Brule have crafted a stunning, instinctual work that resonates with all of the listener's senses. `Brave Hearts' and `Dream Shield,' are exceptional. I understood the meaning, without translation, in the soulful `Sacred Praises' chant. `Buffalo Moon' and `Spirit Horses' employ an ageless rhythm that was, at once, familiar.I found each to be pure and exquisite, fulfilling its destiny to resonate with the dynamic nature of the universe.

Highly recommended for creation of your own personal journey to resonance.

Summary: Phantastic music
Comment: I love this CD! The mix of Native American sounds with techno rock is truly amazing, and you won't get tired of listening to it again and again.
My kids including my 12 year old son love it too. He loves the indian songs with the guitar riffs the best.
Too bad there aren't any lyrics. It would be fun to sing along.
