Summary: Good idea - but flimsy
Comment: Maybe I was expecting a bit much for the price, but this table wasn't sturdy enough to be very useful. It is made of stamped sheet metal and has nylon threads. If you try to clamp anything with much force the threads just strip or jump.

Comment: I just got mine and this product has nothing to do with product descriptions. It is flimsy has alignment problems and crank is a joke really. And instructions are ridiculous. I will send mine back. Do not bother buying this thing unless you will use it once in a year.

Comment: This was very easy to put together, works great as a tool stand (planer, miter saw) and is overall a very solid piece of equipment. I have no doubt that it would support 550lbs as advertised. Great as a moblie shop table.

Comment: The work bench is as described, but I was unhappy with the shipping. Bench came in factory box. It appeared to not be heavy enough to withstand long distance shipping. Holes in it and pretty beat up. However the product was not damaged.
