Customer Rating: Summary: Great machine, even if refurbed Comment: Gave it away to someone who REALLY wanted one but this little puppy put out great quality ice cream within 1/2 an hour! You won't be sorry. Just buy an extra piece to keep in the freezer for those who want more than one kind!
Customer Rating: Summary: and frapuccino, too! Comment: This thing rox so hard. It's really nicely designed to be easy to clean, which is clearly the most important part. The freezer bucket stays ridiculously cold, which is always the part that makes me nervous about these things. What's great is that you don't have to just make ice cream, but you can throw anything in there--root beer, sprite, juice, lemonade--and make a slushy in just a few minutes. Good for parties and all that. But my favorite thing to do is to brew up a pot of coffee or espresso before bed, put it in the fridge, then in the morning toss it in with some delicious organic milk and some sugar, maybe a little vanilla, nutmeg, whatever, and in a couple minutes you have a frapuccino the likes of which you would have paid $5 for at Starbucks. Plus you can make it your way. Wait for a good deal, and it's a thing worth having around.
Customer Rating: Summary: Great Little Icecream Maker Comment: We have enjoyed this little ice cream maker for about 1 month now. I was a little hesitant to buy a refurbished one but the price (24.99) was too good to pass up. It has been working flawlessly. My family loves the ice cream it makes. We are very happy with this purchase.
Customer Rating: Summary: Very impressed! Comment: This ice cream maker is so easy to use! It makes it easy to create low fat sherbet, sorbet and frozen yogurt options! We keep the bowl in the freezer so we can make homemade ice cream in a moment's notice. Also, the bowl is easy to clean and pop right back in the freezer for the next use. I highly recommend! And, we have had no problems with the re-furbished model.
Customer Rating: Summary: Simply the BEST Comment: We purchased this ice cream maker over a year ago and have used it constantly!! We're going to purchase this machine for Christmas presents for our family this year and we're SURE everyone will love it as much as we have. We LOVE making different flavors of ice cream.

Creating up to 1-1/2 quarts of ice cream, frozen yogurt, sorbet, or frozen drinks at home takes only about 20 minutes with this electric appliance, and salt and ice are not needed. After the machine's chilling chamber has been in the freezer for about eight hours the liquid between its walls is thoroughly frozen. The chamber then goes atop the power base, the unit's paddle goes into the chamber, the transparent top is locked in place, and the machine is turned on. Ingredients go into the chamber through an opening in the top as the paddle turns. The chamber chills the ingredients to whatever consistency is desired--though dense treats are hard to make because the paddle churns in air. Chocolate chips, chopped fruit, nuts, and other special ingredients can be added toward the end. The chamber is nonstick for easy cleanup. Storing it in the freezer ensures a frozen confection is only 20 to 40 minutes away when the mood strikes. The machine measures 10 inches in diameter and 15 inches high and weighs 9-1/2 pounds. It carries a 90-day warranty. A detailed instruction booklet including many recipes is included. --Fred Brack Editor's note: This is a reconditioned small appliance. Reconditioned generally means that the appliance has been returned to the manufacturer, who returns the appliance to like-new condition. Some appliances may contain cosmetic blemishes.
