Summary: "S" Volume 2
Comment: This is the edited version of season 3's 2nd volume.

Episode 87: Swept off her Feet - Andrew's sister dreams of her first kiss, making her a target for the heart snatchers. When the scouts rush after the monster to retrieve the pure heart, Uranus & Neptune snatch it first. Their dedication to their mission is shown when they refuse to return the pure heart if it is a talisman.

Episode 88: Blinded by Love's Light - Molly and Melvin are nervous about their relationship and enter a contest for couples to prove their love. Amara and Michelle enter as a joke while looking out for heart snatchers. When a new monster does strike and snatches Melvin's pure heart, the scouts leap into action.

Episode 89: Lita Borrows Trouble - After an accident, Lita begins admiring Amara and goes off with her and Michelle for an afternoon of fun. The other scouts worry about her and rightly so. Lita is the newest target of the heart snatchers. The other scouts rush in to save Lita while Uranus and Neptune snag her pure heart to see if its a talisman. When her heart is returned, Lita morphs into Sailor Jupiter, ready for payback.

Summary: Early volumes of Sailor Moon Super
Comment: "S" stands for Super . SuperS is the following season. I recommend you buy the last episodes of this season. The first volumes are too drippy and sentimental for my tastes.

Summary: A laugh and a half, no doubt!! ^ ___ ^
Comment: When I first watched this tape, I decided it was a brilliant three episodes packed with cringey Serena moments, cool fight scenes and great Sailor Moon laughs. So take my advice. GASP as Lita's heart crystal is stolen. CRINGE as dorky Unazaki (Elizabeth) asked Serena on the art of a good kiss. SIGH as Melvin declares his love for Molly. YAWN as Michelle tells all about her first kiss from 'Brad'. I can't wait to continue my SM collection with Back To The Future, oh, and one last piece of advice, BUY THIS TAPE.

Editorial Reviews:

Japanimation goes girl crazy in this pastel-propelled series about a lovesick middle-schooler, Serena, whose alter ego, Sailor Moon, aims to triumph over evil in the name of true love. Volume Two comprises three Eros-charged episodes from the third season of the show. First up is "Swept Off Her Feet," wherein a doe-eyed study buddy unwittingly falls for a villain intent on robbing her of her pure-heart crystal. Next comes "Blinded by Love's Light," in which the shaggy- haired Melvin, who sports a couple of psychedelic curlicues for eyes, enters a True Affection contest only to be hoodwinked into having his pure heart harvested by the heart snatchers. For a finale, "Lita Borrows Trouble" finds the evil heart snatcher Scar zeroing on the title character's much-coveted crystal. Constants in this series, other than the shrill-voiced Miss Moon, are hotshot high schoolers Amara and Michelle, a couple of best friends who, considering Amara's cropped haircut amid a sea of swirling ponytails, seem more like a couple. Together, they're heart-stealing schemers, but of a different order. For them, the goal is culling three crystals--that way, we discover way into the "Lita" episode, peace will prevail in their heart-shaped universe. Sailor Moon doesn't glide along without ripples; the plots are plunked down about three-quarters of the way into each episode, often unintelligibly, but the series is more about girlie good fun than strong stories. For teenage girls fond of Japanimation, the gender-specific nature makes this series a gem. The edited version (that plays on the Cartoon Network) is for ages 5 to 12, the uncut version is rated for teenagers for violence, innuendo, and brief nudity. --Tammy La Gorce
