Summary: Fixed Blade - Ignore the Retractable Picture
Comment: OK, the description does say "fixed blade," but there is a very large picture accompanying the Product Description that says "3-position retractable." I wanted retractable and that's why I purchased it. Need to take that picture down, for those of us who are relying on such things for information.

Summary: Easy to change blades
Comment: Hate having to pull out a screw driver to replace blades in your utility knife??? Well this solves the problem. It's a bit big so impractical to tuck into your back pocket. But it's comfotable to hold, nice shape and needs no tools to swap out blades.

Comment: Ya seen one utility knife, ya seen 'em all, right? Nope. This one is much more comfortable, and blade changes are super-easy.

Summary: Excellent fixed blade knife
Comment: This knife is thicker and has a soft rubber grip on it. Not to mention that the thicker knife feels much better in my hand. Changing blades is relatively easy and effecient. I would also reccomend purchasing a bucket boss utility knife sheath for carrying it. It has a plastic liner and easily holds the larger knife.

Comment: The comparable retractable-blade model has the same excellent ergonomics and while the quick swivel-change is slightly slower than the stanley 10-788 instand-change model (because you turn the center dial rather than just push a button), it is about half as heavy, which helps when you already have a lot of tools in your bags. The best improvement on utility knives I've seen on the market.
