Customer Rating: Summary: 4.7-4.9/5 (whole Series) Comment: Yu-Yu Hakusho... In early 2002, or so, I believe it was, maybe 2001, this show was aired on Adult Swim and Toonami, and though, they only showed 20 something episodes back then, they started showing up to the Dark Tournament sometime in 2004, I believe, maybe started mid 2003, but... Lol, my memory is fading, it seems. Anyway... I saw that they were releasing the Import boxset in English on a website, and so I bought 2 sets of it, containing episodes: 1-50 on 6 discs (uncut), which was great, but... It didn't end the Dark Tournament, then, back in 2004, they released a 3rd boxset, containing episodes: 51-78, which ended the Dark Tournament, and started the Chapter Black Saga. After witnessing all of the Dark Tournament, which is my favorite Saga in the Series, I REALLY began to love this show A LOT. I liked it before, but far from how much I love it now. At any rate, the Series' Storyline is superb, and the action is grand. So, the bottom line is: if you like action Anime, but not brainless, no reason violence, with an excellent Storyline, then, I suggest you give this Anime a try. T-O-G-U-R-O; Toguro, yes, Toguro. Man... Team Toguro -- Ultimate. As for my age rating for this Anime: 16+/R (Graphic Violence, Gore, Profanity, Sexual Situations, and Adult Complex Themes). One of the Animes tied in 2nd place for me.
Customer Rating: Summary: One of the best dub jobs I've ever seen! Comment: I am a huge fan of YuYu Hakusho, and this is one of the best dubs ever! Unlike most dubs, the voices fit the characters perfectly.Yusuke and Kuwabara have appropriately
rough adolesant voices, with Kuwabara's having an idiotic tinge to it.Hiei's and Kurama's voices sound cool and demonic. I have nothing against the japanese version, but Yusuke sounded too deep.Greatest action anime ever!
Customer Rating: Summary: Seen the Entire Series, This Vol. is One of the Worst Comment: Being a true YYH fan, I have seen all 112 episodes, and this volume is the 3rd worst of all 32. (Terrible Truths and Dark Tournament Begins are worse than this) There is emotion in this volume, which I like but... it's not very entertaining. But, you shouldn't make this stop you from buying a 5-Star anime. I am still recommending this volume, because or else it will be weird having only volumes 2-32! So... I think you should buy this product.
Customer Rating: Summary: Somewhat decent Comment: I was skeptical to how Funimation was gonna handle another anime series and not do another "hatchet" job. Listening to the English track with the Japanese script , you can tell the show has been very "kiddie-fied" and cleaned up. Basically death, alcohol, and sex talk. So I ended up going back to the Japanese track and was pleasently surprised. Great opening and closing tunes , as well as a solid storyline make this one a sure fire hit. Just stay away from the dub and edited versions.
Extras are lousy however. Whoopey, more DBZ saga previews with ludicrously overdone voiceovers compliments of Funimation.
Customer Rating: Summary: An Amazing Anime Comment: This is a great action packed and funny dvd. But compared to the other ones this is horrible. Yuskay is run over by a car and meets boton the grim reper. So yusky meets kounba ruler of the spirt world who explains about an ordeal to get his life back. Yuskay gets a spirt egg it feeds off yuskays spirt if he is good he will be brought back to life if he is bad it will devoer him.

Episode 1 - Surprised To Be Dead Fourteen-year-old Yusuke Urameshi is having a typical day. He's cutting class at school, having arguments with his teachers, and getting into fistfights with his rival Kuwabara. Hey - when you're the toughest kid in town, you have a reputation to maintain! But then Yusuke does something that betrays his killer rep. He dives in front of a speeding car to push a little boy out of harm's way! Yusuke makes the ultimate sacrifice for the sake of another, but is it really time for this brash young man's life to come to an end? Episode 2 - Koenma Appears Pulled by the sprightly, pink-robed Botan, Yusuke enters a realm that is not quite normal - Spirit World. There, Yusuke meets Koenma, a 700 year-old ruler with the body of a toddler, pacifier and all! But there's no room for laughs, as Koenma gives Yusuke an ordeal to restore his life. Hatching a Spirit Beast! Episode 3 - Kuwabara: A Promise Between Men The same age as Yusuke and a fellow fighter, Kuwabara was tormented by his rival's death. The loser in all 156 of his brawls against Yusuke, he's now lost any chance he ever had of evening the score! But with Yusuke out of the way, Kuwabara is the new kid to beat, which means he's making plenty of enemies. Yusuke isn't fond of this classmate, but if he wants to win back his life, he'll need to give him a ghostly hand. Episode 4 - Requirements for Lovers Spirit World forgot an important question - does anyone want Yusuke back? Koenma sends an Investigator to find out, and Yusuke's friends answer quickly when a fire threatens to char his earthly body. But will Yusuke give up the Spirit Beast, his one chance of reviving, to rescue his friends?
