Comment: I cannot recommend this cd set enough. It is easily my favorite album of all time and purchasing it just might make it yours as well.

Summary: The state of art!
Comment: "The red Army Choir" is one of those ensembles that simply can not be forgotten and much less ignored of our minds once you listen them.
This golden compilation encloses an essential chapter of the most gleaming and emotive Russian sentiment expressed through famous musical scores filled of vitality, candidness, sadness and cheerfulness.
For the Russian citizen, the music meant not only a vehicle to display his joys and sorrows, but to transmit unsaid feelings of gelid loneliness, nostalgic hopeless and enraptured lyricism.
On the road, Moscow nights, Partisan's song, My country, Troika Galop, Echelon' s song, Oh fields, my fields, dark eyes, The road song or The birch tree reflect the wide spectre of livings and memories of this nation, extraordinarily interpreted by this widely known ensemble around the world.
The sound edition was simply breathtaking as well as the selected tracks, that surely will overflow your feelings once you listen it.
A collector item, neither more nor less.

Summary: Brilliant!
Comment: There is a wide variety of choral to classic Russian music. Comes with two CDs that will amaze you. There are several songs, my favorite are the fast-up beat ones. But of course, you must also go through the slower songs and operatic ones as well. All in all, good CD.

Summary: Soviet Army Band & Chorus aren't taking any prisoners!
Comment: If you enjoy a good stiring martial male chorus then spend some time with these guys. They're all graduates of Soviet musical acadamies and any one of them could have graced the top opera houses of the world. You don't have to know any Russian to appreciate this CD. The songs are glorious (just don't translate them -- machine guns, death to foes, etc.), and will make you want to march on Berlin all over again.
