Some of the content is great, but it is costly, you can get the same info elsewhere for Free. Some issues arrived with candidates on the front cover and stories about them, but were irrelevant because he was out of the race the week before (hence my slow comment). Many of the articles are from one point of view and the paper would be better if it presented another conservative's view on the same issue/decision/politician ... so in that aspect, if you aren't on the same track, it leaves you with a sour taste. I figured some stories would have another conservative's counter arguments or separate view, no such luck.
Also, the customer service is below par. When I asked a question about billing I was mocked. That made it really easy to cancel.

PLAYING MIND GAMES WITH TERRORISTS

The Spanish-American War is history, with links to today's problems with terrorists.
There was a Muslim uprising then, in the Philippines, while U.S. troops were occupying the country prior to elections of a republican government.
Question 1. Why and when did the Army change from the .38 revolver to the .45 Colt? Answer: The Muslims, egged on by their priests, tanked up on hashish and charged Army officers with a sword (kris). The officers drew their .38's and shot, but the crazed Muslim kept coming although hit several times. So the Army changed to the.45 which has tremendous knock-down power and that solved that problem.
Question 2.How did they solve the problem of the priests?
Answer: They played mind games with the faithful.
(a)The pig is an unclean animal to the Muslims. (b)To gain Paradise killing infidels, one must be killed and then immediately be buried wearing the clothes in which he died. Otherwise, no 72 houris whose virginity is renewed monthly.
So General "Blackjack" Pershing decided on mind games to counteract this raging desire for sex after death.
He gathered up a bunch of terrorists and priests noted for terrorist speeches and tied them to posts. A large grave was dug. A dozen hogs were driven in. The hogs were killed, gutted and skinned. The hearts were saved, the other innards dumped into the grave. The firing squad ceremoniously dipped their bullets in hog lard. The terrorists were shot. Their garments were removed and burned on a nearby fire. A piece of hog heart was placed in their dead mouths. Each body was wrapped in a pigskin and tossed into the pit with the hog offal. The pit was covered over.
There was not one terrorist attack by Muslims for some 25 years following this.
Fast forward to today.
There seem to be two problems: (1) the priests who issue orders to kill unbelievers and promise paradise to those who die killing. (2) The second is that Saudi Arabian money guarantees a princely sum to the family of a martyr.
The first problem can be solved by rumors that Blackjack's solution has been repeated. All we have to do is to publish stories that it did happen in several remote area of Iraq. The mainstream media will go ape and the networks will follow, so much publicity will flow. No reporter will follow up to see if it really happened; that would kill the story.
The second problem would be solved by tracking the money to the sender and ask him if he wants to be buried in a pigskin. That should shut off that source. Again, this needn't really happen. Just a rumor here and there that it did happen. Wasn't Goebbles a genius?

Comment: As I understand it, this magazine was one of only two that President Reagan read every week while in office. You'll quickly understand why: it's timely, well-documented, objective, and very insigtful.

Summary: Important, Venerable Conservative Weekly
Comment: While I still enjoy HE, especially for Sam Ryskind's great cartoons, Ann Coulter's column, and Jihad Watch, I was disappointed to see it let go of two of its most interesting contributors, Kevin Lamb and Marion Kester Coombs. I'm much less bothered that HE eliminated Sam Francis' columns from its database, because, in my opinion, Francis was a pretty darn mean-spirited writer, almost pathologically spiteful.
I didn't cancel my subscription to HE because of what was done to Lamb and Coombs; however, I did briefly ponder it It may be that HE had to let them go, for reasons that are not clear to us outside the know. My best wishes to Kevin Lamb and Marion Kester Coombs, and thanks for the fascinating pieces you've written.
Frank Ellis, the English academic, who writes great pieces for RIGHT NOW!, the excellent British conservative journal, has described the phenomena of the Nazi Anti-Nazi, or Nanis, as he calls them. They claim to be anti-Nazi but really they are anti-white, PC far leftists who are a lot closer to being Nazis and fascists than many, if not most, of their targets. It may be that Lamb and Coombs were victims of our own watered-downed version of the Nazi Anti-Nazi. The Southern Poverty Law Center, perhaps? The magazine RACE TRAITOR is definitely a good example of Nanism, a real font of evil, from my perspective.

Summary: An excellent read
Comment: This magazine is truly great reading. While the lunatic left tries to use terms like "compassionate", "tolerant" and "elite" to describe themselves, this magazine exposes the fact that none of these terms have anything to do with their actual agenda. Learn why the biggest threat to America today, is not, terrorism from abroad, but is from the liberal left. Moderates, and conservatives will love this magazine and liberals will hate and demonize it. But then, you probably already knew that.
