Summary: The Union Tribune is a rag
Comment: with the largest picture-to-text ratio of any other so-called "national" newspaper. Their science section is pathetic. Also, it's got a terrible conservative bias. By "conservative", I don't mean "pro-freedom in economics"--I mean "so smarmy and religious it makes me gag." When I worked here I got it free, but I subscribed to the LA Times anyway just to get some actual news. They're biased too, but at least they have content.
