Customer Rating: Summary: Not as described Comment: These hot handle holders work well, but they are a lot smaller than described. Mine is only 5 3/4 inches long and 2 3/4 inches wide...a lot smaller than I expected.
Customer Rating: Summary: A bit small Comment: These work well for your kitchen pots and pans that do not have an insulating handle.
Customer Rating: Summary: Perfect for the job intended! Comment: Wonderful kitchen tool. Perfect size for the job. A must-have for when oven searing in cast iron frying pans or griddles that have a single handle. Great protection for your hands!
Customer Rating: Summary: Cheerful but Thin. Comment: Since this is marketed by Lodge, I expected something more substantial - thicker and heavier for hefting cast iron cookware. However, it's cheerful and fits the handles well. Serves as a good reminder to NOT pick up the hot pan without a potholder.
Customer Rating: Summary: Handy Little Things Comment: These brightly decorated handle holders slip over the handle easily and stay put.
Cooking with a cast iron skillet and not burning your hand is a bonus :)
We liked them so much we ordered a set for some friends...

One of the perks to using Lodge's cast iron cookware is its superior heat retention. Unfortunately, that heat travels from the pan all the way up the handle, so indoor chefs and campfire cooks need to protect their hands. Lodge's two-piece handle holder set comes with two festive black-and-red chili-pepper-printed mitts that slide right over pan handles. The exteriors are cozy cotton while silicone liners on the interiors keep the heat from radiating through the holders. --Cristina Vaamonde
