Comment: This is the first burr grinder that I've had, so I don't have much to compare it to, but I couldn't be happier. Consistent grind, very fine grind for espresso or turkish coffee. I've only had it a little over a month, so I can't speak about the durability, but so far I'm 100% pleased.

Comment: This is a great product. I am more than satisfied with the grind quality of the beans. It has a wide range of settings from espresso grind to a coarse grind for my French press. I've owned this unit for nearly a year and had to replace the bean holder. I snapped off one of the tabs by using a little too much force. But, the replacement parts are very reasonably priced as I found out. Check out the prices on their web site. I must comment on the excellent customer service I received from Capresso. I called customer service looking for a replacement for a timing knob on the unit. They asked me when and where did I purchase the unit. I told them I got it from Amazon a little less than a year ago. I was told that the unit was still under warranty. They sent me a UPS prepaid shipping label. Off it went and in a couple of weeks I got my grinder back. They have excellent customer service and I was very, very satisfied with them and their product.

Comment: This is a decent coffee grinder considering the price. A little inconsistent for coarse grinding. Grounds contain too much fine material for my liking when used at the coarsest setting. Takes a bit of experimentation to dial in espresso grind but works well once you determine the best setting for your equipment.

Summary: A poorly-designed coffee grinder
Comment: I live alone, enjoy good coffee, and for many years have been using an excellent, imported (from France) rotating-blade small coffee grinder, which easily makes enough coffee for just a single cup. Sadly, this grinder finally wore out from use and I thought that I would try a fancy grinder which operates on a different principle.
I made a big mistake with this particular grinder. It is virtually impossible to clean, which involves disassembly, after which you will find it burdensome to try to reach all of those particles of coffee grounds. Also, it is just not designed for grinding a small amount of coffee, and it is next to impossible to set up the grinding time and fineness for single-cup use.
I could hardly wait to return this coffee grinder to Amazon. I ended up getting another rotating-blade small grinder, but the model that I had used was no longer available. The French company has long been out of business and was bought many years ago by a company that no longer makes the type of coffee grinder that I was seeking.
Amazon rountinely returned my purchase price for a big mistake that I made! And oh yes, the manufacturer of this product was totally uncooperative in addressing my concerns about the utility of this product. In effect, they told me to take it or leave it.
I left it.
