Customer Rating: Summary: very satisfied! Comment: I'me very satisfied with the baby Q 100 Weber grill. The seller respond to my order soon and UPS was very fast.
Customer Rating: Summary: best in class Comment: We don't have a lot of space for a grill so this has worked out great for us. It has a push button starter and has a great even flame so everything cooks evenly instead of one side being hotter than the other. It's very sturdy, we even kept it out most of our horrible Chicago winter and during storms. It worked great even during the storms/snow and the flame never went out! So if you got a taste for a burger and it's raining this is your grill.
Customer Rating: Summary: Flexible without the compromise Comment: This grill is excellent. Lights easily, heats up quickly, cooks evenly, great grill marks. It was easy to assemble. Insert two pins to attach the lid and two screws attach the handle, wash the grill surface and screw in the gas cannister and you're done. It does take both the 16 and 14 oz gas cannisters, not sure if that is an update as other reviewers have said it didn't used to. The grill surface itself is the only thing that is heavy about it, the rest is pretty light. I have no problem bringing it out to the park next door (you do have to wait for it to cool to bring it in) and it fits easily in my trunk for tailgating etc.
Customer Rating: Summary: My Weber Baby Q 100 Has Been a Nightmare Comment: I read all the great reviews and purchased a Weber Q 100. It's been nothing short of a disaster.
Assembly was easy enough, but the grill didn't get hot enough or reliably stay lit. In fact, a breeze would sometimes blow it out. Cooking a couple of burgers took about 20 minutes. Obviously, there was a problem. I got the same result from two different disposable propane tanks, as well as a 20# LP tank. (Yeah, I bought the hose for that, too. So I'm in for over $200 at this point.)
So I called Weber's customer service. They instantly thought it was the regulator/valve assembly, and promptly send a new one.
After receiving the new one and installing it, I had the same problems. Again I called Customer Service, and again, they're sending a new regulator/valve assembly. So I'll be without the grill for a while--it's been about three weeks so far. I'm not sure how many times this process will repeat, but it's extremely frustrating.
Had I taken this to a tailgate or on a camping trip, it would have been extremely embarrassing. Actually, maybe that's what I should do.
Avoid this until Weber gets the regulator issues solved.
Customer Rating: Summary: Weber Q Comment: I have used Weber Q grills since Nov 06. The original Q200 was purchased at auction with a broken leg. Without questioning the source of my purchase, Weber Service immediated forwarded without charge a replacement leg. We since purchased a Q100 for friends, without exception we have both enjoyed what we consider the best gas grill on the market. Its ease of use and the great cooking guide from Weber make for fail safe grilling. Buy a timer, read the guide for the type of food to be grilled, and you will experience the wonder of this product. First time out of the gate you will be a pro. I say this as one who has three functioning outdoor grills to include a large Jenair stainless grill. The Q performs far better and with less fuss than either. The secret is in the design of the Qs cast iron cooking grate and matching burner which contribute to the most even heating/searing of any grill on the market, to include other Weber products.
