Customer Rating: Summary: Worth the initial pain Comment: It took me about two weeks to get used to wearing this at night. They hurt a bit at first, like a new pair of shoes. I originally bought too big of a size and had to cut them down to fit. But they saved me about $6000 in surgery fees. I had a surgery date and was ready to have my deviated septum fixed (I ran into a sliding glass door when young), but just for fun Googled antisnoring devices, ran into Nozovent and ordered them. They solved about 95 percent of my snoring problems. I cancelled the surgery. My spouse is delighted, and I have a much more restful sleep. I'm ordering another pair right now. Much cheaper to go this route than the strips.
Customer Rating: Summary: Takes getting used to but works Comment: This hurts at first as others said, but after about a week of breakin I got used to them. I was able to stop using Afrin multiple times per week to keep my sinuses open. I suffer from sleep apnea, but this has had the desired effect. Just wish they'd always stay in my nose all night, they pop out sometimes and they are hard to find in the bedding.
Customer Rating: Summary: The only thing that helps me breathe while sleeping! Comment: I have been using Nozovents at night for sleeping for over 5 years now. I tried the strips, but those did not work for me at all because my problem is narrow nasal passages and internal nostril swelling.
It took me probably 3-4 weeks to get used to them initially, as I would have issues with them coming out and having sensitivity inside my nostrils. I found that if they help you, which they did TREMENDOUSLY for me, then it was worth the battle of training myself to not knock it out at night and to let the inside of my nostrils get used to it and no longer be sore.
I CANNOT sleep without a Nozovent in anymore, as I am so used to being able to BREATHE while I sleep.
I used to snore and was a 'mouth breather' while sleeping, but no more! Since using Nozovents, I now sleep breathing through my nose with NO snoring. My gums have completely recovered, and my dentist says he can't even tell that I was a 'mouth breather', which he says is obvious in patients.
I recommend this product to anyone who truly wants to breathe while sleeping if they have an issue with narrow nasal passages, or internal nose swelling. It's worth it to get past the phase of getting used to them!
