Summary: Great day backpack for almost any purpose
Comment: This is a good all-around pack. It's cheaper than some of the other better-known brand backpacks but is built and design with quality. I've had mine for about a year, use it almost every day, and it's held up great. It has everything you need; two outside pockets for water bottles, strong rip-stop fabric, a waist belt, even a compartment for adding a camelpak and hole for the tubing. The front pouch has lots of little pockets for storing pens, first aid, pocket knives, and more.
The rain pouch is a little strange; it's stored in it's own compartment on the bottom the pack. While it adds soft padding to protect the bottom of the pack, it takes up volume and a few ounces of weight and is non-removable. If you're looking for ultra-light camping or hiking, this is not the pack you want.
But if you're looking for a great durable backpack that you can take to class, take to the gym, and then take to the woods on the weekends, this is a great purchase.
