This bowl is much better than the one that we had previously because it does not spill at all and holds a half gallon of water. It was not tremendously expensive considering that it is well made. I'm glad I did because it has reduced annoying spills that happen as a result of my clumsiness. You could easily take this bowl in the car for long trips and it wouldn't spill.
