Customer Rating: Summary: Really a great product Comment: I took allergy shots for years. Wish they had Neti Pots back then. I have found this to be a wonderful cleanser and I don't have to buy pills anymore. Saw it on Oprah with Dr. Oz.
Customer Rating: Summary: PLACEBO EFFECT Comment: No neti pots do not work for me no matter what nor does any saline solution. Is it because I have stubborn sinuses? Is it because if have a deviated septum? I laugh when doctors suggest these things...it always makes me WORSE. The water gets stuck up there and it burns and nothing comes out...I get really bad headaches afterwards. Sometimes it clears me up for like 3 minutes only to come raging back (stuffiness and headache) and clogged worse than ever. I seriously don't see how people really think this work...but to each their own.
Customer Rating: Summary: love it Comment: the neti pot is great for people with allergies or even just to prevent winter colds. it takes a few times to get used to it, but its a cool product.
Customer Rating: Summary: Use it RIGHT Comment: Jess, be sure to use properly mixed SALT WATER!! NOT warm tap water. They should have sent instructions with your pot. But, if not, here's a 'recipe' for proper salt concentration: 2 cups (16 oz) of water plus 1/2 tsp, plus 1/8 tsp (measuring/baking spoons). (No one has a "5/8" tsp measuring device, so you have to use 1/2 plus 1/8 tsp.) Stir it up and add it to the neti pot. It will NOT burn, will NOT sting, and will NOT make you feel as if you're drowning.
Customer Rating: Summary: Worked for me Comment: I was one of the reluctant ones at first. Every few years I get really bad sinus infections around December. These infections usually produce serious bouts of vertigo. Up to this point, most medications, including Antivert, were ineffective on me, so I didn't expect much from the neti pot other than the feeling that it was likely hype. I usually require steroids or surgery. I've already had two previous sinus clearing surgeries. While dealing with a particularly nasty bout of vertigo the other day, I happened to mention it at work. A co-worker suggested the neti pot after seeing it on television. Desperate for any relief (and with an ENT appointment a week away), I purchased this from the local drugstore last night. After four treatments, my vertigo is now completely gone. I still can't believe it and almost expect it to return any second. The treatment does feel a little weird at first, however, if done correctly, it is tolerable. It does not feel the same as accidentally inhaled water. That is painful. This, although weird feeling, is painless and not uncomfortable. I definitely recommend this to anyone suffering sinus symptoms. I perform two treatments daily. Each treatment requires two packs of solution (one for each nostril). So if you're a serious sinus sufferer like me, you can probably anticipate using four packs daily.
