Summary: where to buy it?
Comment: Does anyone know a store that still carries it? My old reliable independent grocer just stopped carrying it...says the distributor stopped carrying it. I'll order it from amazon, but it's pretty expensive, considering shipping charges. As others have noted, it's great on turkey but also in cole slaw and potato salad. A friend of mine can hardly eat fresh tomatoes without it. But no, it's not honey mustard, it's like what my mother called boiled dressing, with mustard added.

Comment: I was hoping for honey mustard goodness, since it has the same color as Portillo's amazing honey mustard.
This tastes like it's made with mustard, salt water & a hint of sugar. This must have been invented by a pregnant woman.
I was not raised on this & would never recommend it. I actually came online to find out if the "Famous" in the title was just a gimmick to make me buy it. I also came online in order to write this review so nobody else has to be subjected to this.
If you want to try this sauce, just go to a salty California beach instead & drown yourself. I'm sure it would yield the same result.

Comment: My family has been enjoying this sauce for over 50 years. My Dad got me hooked, and now our three daughters love it too. Every Thanksgiving, we run out, because it is THE best on turkey. I have just spent over an hour searching for it at a Krogers, Giant Eagle and Meijers to no avial. I can't believe it, but I have to buy it now over the WWW. If you haven't tried this product, you are missing a gastromic delight, especially on turkey!

Always good to have on hand to spice up left-over turkey and chicken sandwiches, great as a salad dressing, perfect in potato salad. The sauce that made Eugene Durkee Famous, thus the Famous Salad and Sandwich Sauce name.
