Summary: Dryest hair on the block
Comment: This was a replacement for a Conair unit that looked and operated practically identically, until one day, against the wishes of the manufacturer's lawyers, the Conair was submersed in the sink.
The shock protection device seemed to work, as evidenced by my mortality. (My mortality being inferred by this review).
As to the Jerdon unit. Starting with wet hair I tested the unit by moving the slide switch from the OFF position to the HIGH position and aiming the nozzle at the wet hair while simultaneously brushing. Within minutes my hair was dry. Several minutes later my hair was extremely dry, and my head was hot. The test was terminated.
Strengths: Cheap, works well, will probably not kill you if you drop it in the sink.
Weaksnesses: Prolonged use may elevate brain temperature.
