Customer Rating: Summary: IT'S JUST OK......... EXPECTED IT TO BE ALOT BETTER!! Comment: This dvd is a good start to practicing safety measures with your children. To me, there's just way too much goofy stuff going on to where the children loose the concept of the safety measure being taught. I watched it with my 5 1/2 year old daughter. Sometimes "Super Chick" talks too fast & with all the different charactars she takes on during the video it becomes confusing. I think she's trying too hard to be funny & silly to get the kids attention but it ends up taking away from the safety lessons being taught. I expected it to be ALOT better.
Customer Rating: Summary: Great video Comment: Great video to start talking about stranger danger with young kids. It isn't scary and they learn more as they watch the video over and over again. My kids ask to watch it all the time and each time I can see that they pick up something different each time they watch. Highly recommend!!!
Customer Rating: Summary: Great for children Comment: I purchased this for my (sometimes too friendly) 4 year old niece. She enjoys watching it and interacts with the video. The CD songs are easy to remember and therefor helpful. I depend on customer reviews myself and felt it important to write this one.
Customer Rating: Summary: An excellent supplement to real life experiences... Comment: I wasn't sure what to expect when I ordered this. I was looking for something to help my overly friendly four year old understand that not everyone is who they may appear to be. After watching it twice, not only was my son understanding the concept behind the CD but he was eager to make a list of safe side adults and practice kind of knows and don't knows. While my 3 year old loved and laughed at it, she is still a little young to comprehend it fully. I highly recommend watching this as a family and taking the time to discuss such an important topic with your children.
Customer Rating: Summary: It definitely helps! Comment: Short and simple - this video serves a purpose and helps to back up what a child's parents have taught them. My 3 1/2 year old has been wanting to watch this movie over and over and over for 2 days. It's the first thing she requests in the morning and has wanted to watch it several times a day. The main character is a little overboard, but I'm the mom, not the kid! I can understand that she's acting a little goofy to hold a child's attention (and it definitely holds my child's attention), but I think she does a great job getting her point across. I would recommend this video.

Kid safety is an important, yet often difficult topic of discussion between parents and children. The Safe Side's "Safe Side Super-Chick" is a decidedly zany host who successfully combines slapstick humor with serious, practical safety tips for kids. "Safe Side Super-Chick" breaks the population down into three quickly discernable categories: "Safe Side Adults" that kids know well and can always trust to keep them safe, "Don't Knows" like the mail carrier or the lady at the park and "Sorta Knows" like a coach or a schoolmate's parent. As "Safe Side Super-Chick" interacts with "Don't Knows" and "Sorta Knows", she offers seven specific safety tips to keep kids safe and, with the help of real kids, details simple, concrete actions and phrases that empower kids in a variety of potentially dangerous situations. Best of all, the presentation is never scary, but always extremely funny--that means that kids ages 2 to 10 will actually enjoy learning about safety. Kudos to Julie Clark (creator of Baby Einstein) and John Walsh (host of America's Most Wanted) for creating a safety video that's highly entertaining, informative, and practical. --Tami Horiuchi
