Customer Rating: Summary: not bad but not great Comment: It was nice to hear the familiar sounds from the show but I was disappointed a little. I don't think the songs were as well rounded as I wanted. In any case, I use it for meditation with only mild irritation.
Customer Rating: Summary: Amazing. Just Amazing. Comment: All of the BSG soundtrack/scores are just incredible. They are one of the many reasons this show is top notch.
Bear McCreary is an amazingly talented individual and I look forward to listening to his works for a long time.
Customer Rating: Summary: Amazing! Comment: This soundtrack is amazing. It's such an unusual score with heavy use of irregular rhythms and unique instrumentation, but yet it's still amazing and conveys the emotion of the show so well.
Customer Rating: Summary: Good companion for Battlestar Fans Comment: If you're a Battlestar Galatica Fan, this audio is an excellent companion to your collection. Passacaglia, Forgiven, and The Shape of Things to Come are emotional and addictive orchestral soundtracks. Not every song from the first season is included in this CD. The opening credit songs for the UK and the US versions and the battle songs (The Thousandth Landing, Battle on the Asteroid) are included. Battlestar Muzaktica is quite odd and doesn't fit with the collection of songs.
Customer Rating: Summary: Captures the feel of the show Comment: Has a great selection of songs from the 1st season. I like show/movie CDs that you can picture the scenes and emotion of the actors when you hear the song. The Celtic underlays are great, and the Taiko drumming style is very well used for building intensity in the music. If you really like the series, you should probably really enjoy the music as well!

Presenting the original soundtrack from the first season of Sci Fi Channel's critically acclaimed, top-rated television series starring Edward James Olmos, Mary McDonnell, James Callis, Tricia Helfer and Katee Sackhoff. Composer Bear McCreary's dynamic score ingeniously melds orchestra, vocals and synth into an emotional experience that ranges from full-throttle action to soul-stirring drama. Packed with more than 78 minutes of music, this is a comprehensive collection of the very best musical moments from this amazing sci-fi drama's first season. Features both U.S. and U.K. main title themes and includes exclusive liner notes.
