Comment: This thing works better than i could of hoped. I have been archiving my vinyl record collection using my 1974 vintage denon turntable through this device and converting the audio to FLAC lossless format. Very very pleased.

Summary: A Fine Product
Comment: This box did exactly as advertised. It allows me to rip my records into MP3's with decent audio quality and little hassle. I bought it together with Acoustica Spin-it-again 2.1 (as recommended by Amazon) and was ripping records within hours.
I hooked the ART box to the tape-out jacks on my pre-amp. The Art box allow you either to hook it up this way or to hook it directly to the phono player. In this direct connect mode, it will also serve as a phono stage for your stereo, in case yours does not already have one.
My only complaint is that I have to set the gain manually for each record - the Acoustica software tells you if the gain is too high or too low, and you turn a knob to adjust the ART box gain. This is kind of silly - there ought to be a way for the software to set the gain of the ART box, since it knows what it wants and it has a bi-directional USB connection...

Summary: Easy, versatile tool
Comment: I have only used this briefly so far, but everything about it has performed quite well. It has the ability to take a variety of inputs, including RCA and fiber optic, adjust gain and bass cutout (to eliminate turntable rumble) and feed it all straight into the PC. The included freeware software was easy to install and relatively simple to use.
All in all, I'm very pleased! It will simplify converting my LP and tape collections to MP3, and I may even use it as an ongoing interface between my audio system and my PC, because it's much better than the standard 1/8" jack on the audio card!

Summary: Great Little Preamp
Comment: I wanted to put my 45 year old - 200 plus LP's on cd's. I had a 10 yr old - in good shape Technics turntable plus a $25.00 preamp, this preamp was ok when it was hooked up to the AUX input of one of my other receivers but was clipping the audio output of the turntable when I used it with my newly installed software; Spin it Again & Audacity.
I read the other reviews on the ART Phono Plus v2 and purchased the preamp to my satisfaction - its inexpensive and does the job right, its adjustable and matches the software. This is great for beginners like me and once it is set up per the directions and you practice with your software -(Spin it Again) for me , you have some good old sounds coming out of your home or car CD players.

Four stars due to the fact that they designed it without an On/Off switch???
Works great!!!
Gain control is very sensitive with smooth movement..
Monitor output very nice, can be cranked with no distortion..
My archive of LP's has been saved from the big bad dust bunny's..
This unit works nicely with Adobe Audition and (Diamond Cut)Restoration software from Tracer Technologies .
For those on a budget,Cost was a bit of a budget buster, but this fun little box is worth it..
