Comment: I used this to connect a vintage Yamaha Clavinova to an Imac laptop. I wanted to use the Clavinova as an input to Garage Band. I followed the easy installation instructions, and it worked like a charm.

Comment: I am thrilled with this product! I was a little skeptical thinking that there was a converter out there that would work with my ten year old Suzuki keyboard, but I was proven wrong! What a relief! The software was easy to install, and within minutes I was finally recording directly into my computer. So exciting and such better quality than live audio recordings. I've been working on recording original material at home and this just made my life so much easier. I was suspecting that I was going to have to go out and buy a new keyboard for a few thousand, and the $40 bucks I spent on this converter saved me a ton. Fast, easy, simple, reliable. I'd recommend to anyone else.

Comment: I got this to interface my computer to a Fender B-DEC (Bass Digital Entertainment Center). It works great. And it works with both Mac and Windows platforms!

Summary: Easy to setup and handy.
Comment: Using Ubuntu Linux with a Roland SC-55 and Kurzweil piano the UM-1EX was detected by Rosegarden software with no need to use the Edirol driver CD. Playback to both devices works flawlessly and keyboard to computer also handled without problems. The cables are of a gauge that will handle some abuse. Does what I want for a reasonable price.

Comment: This item is completely useless. I ordered it, installed it, connected it, tried to use it..............no feedback. Adjusted the connection...............no feedback. Tried to use it with a "learning piano" software which was specially designed for it..................nothing. Changed my control panel settings..................nothing. Maybe its just me!
