Customer Rating: Summary: Great while it works, but died in 16 months Comment: While it worked, this was the best blender we'd ever had. We make fruit smoothies every morning, and this blender worked like a dream, blending everything together beautifully. However, after 16 months of use, the plastic teeth on the bottom of the blade assembly that make the blades spin are snapping off. Useless!
So if you only expect your blenders to last a year or so, this is the blender for you. Personally, I expect a lot longer life from a Braun. My last blender ran for at least five years of daily smoothies.
Customer Rating: Summary: Excellent blender Comment: This blender was purchased for the purpose of making smoothies. I did research and made sure I found a strong-motored blender that won't jam or have that burning metal smell when crushing ice. Consumer Reports magazine labeled this blender as a "best buy", and I completely agree with them. The glass jug is sturdy and attractive, and the motor is strong and fairly quiet. (Is there such a thing as a silent blender?) The removable piece in the top of the blender makes adding the ice (or any other harder food) to the liquid a breeze. I have used it many times, and have had no problems. (It leaked the first time I used it, but it was because I didn't see that the rubber ring was not re-inserted after the initial washing - oops!) Cleanup is fairly easy, but be careful as the blades are very sharp! A tip for cleanup is to rinse the jug with water immediately after pouring the beverage so nothing will dry and crust up on the blades, thus avoiding getting one's fingers dangerously close to the very sharp objects! As long as directions are followed for assembly and food prep, you will have this blender for a long, long time.
Customer Rating: Summary: blender Comment: This is a great blender, and i bought it because it was tested by Americas Test Kitchen, and rated the top blender. The price is great, and it is able to blend frozen pieces of fruit, if you are making a fruit smoothie. The dial is good, and is much easier to clean than push buttons.
Customer Rating: Summary: good blender, great price Comment: This is a fine blender for my use-- sporadic, infrequent, but heavy when I do use it. Summers, for smoothies, or for making Mexican Hot Chocolate, that sort of thing. It's noisy, my only complaint. At $30 I think it's a good value. The Cook's Illustrated people like it very much, and other alternatives are more expensive and have significant disadvantages. I love the capacity, and I like having a glass rather than plastic pitcher.
Perfect? Hardly. The base of the blade is made of weak plastic, and the lid has mysterious, badly designed holes that one tries to keep covered while blending. It could be quieter and the motor could be less buzzy. But the pros easily outweigh the cons. I'm buying a second to have parts on hand in case anything breaks and the model has been discontinued.
Customer Rating: Summary: one of the regular blender Comment: It is OK blender. One thing I hate this blender is the cover is not tight when load is more than 2/3. I am tired to clean the mess.......

The PowerMax jug blender allows right- or left-handed positioning for comfortable use while its triangular design helps you pour with ease. The safety system ensures operation in the locked position only. Frozen strawberry smoothies anyone?
