Cable and drivers load without problem. However I thought that a data backup program was included. To get that functunality you have to purchase another software program or suite to transfer data from phone-to-phone or backup contacts.

Summary: Sync but no charge
Comment: I purchased this maybe a year ago on Amazon. I still use it for syncing my phone... and it gets the job done. But it DID NOT charge my vx9800. Not on my desktop or laptop. Other than that, I say it was a good deal. =-)

Comment: The cable fits the phone and the computer but it is worthless if you can't download the software to use it. It came with a CD that supposedly took you to a website to download the software but it only takes you to a website that sells cell phones. I looked everywhere on the website for a link or something that said you could download any kind of software but there was nothing. If all you need is a cable then it is great but if you don't already have the program on your computer to use it then it does no good.

Summary: Not What It Says It Works For--NOT WORTH THE RISK--works with vx6100 only
Comment: I recently ordered this item after reading the reviews that others wrote saying that it doesnt work for their phone thinking that it would work for mine because it is the 1st model # listed. I received the product 5 days after I ordered it and turns out the cable DOES NOT WORK FOR THE MODEL AX4270. The cable has a sticker on it that says for vx6100, so it should work for that model. The cable head fits in my phone jack but neither the computer nor my phone recognizes it. The chips and connections must not line up with the phone and cable head. Besides i knew right away that it was strange that one cable worked for 26 different phones. I think that the model #s on the description are for phones that the cable head fits into but only the vx6100 will be recognized by the computer. I stongly suggest buying a different cable if you have any other phone besides the vx6100. Dont make the same mistake i made now i have to go through the hassle of returning the item and paying the shipping to return. It's not owrth the risk
