Summary: Exotic deliacy smells and tastes like roses!
Comment: I always get excited to find a floral flavor in confections, and am glad my curiosity about "Turkish delight" led me to this yummy rose locum. One or two people at my family Christmas party didn't go for it, but most found it delightful. Now I know who to give it to as gifts in the future!

Summary: Mystical Confection
Comment: The ingredients are as basic as sugar, water and starch, but the flavor is smooth and dreamy floral sweet. It is impossible to imagine how such perfection evolves from the list of ingredients. The Turkish Delights in this beautifully designed box are flavored with rose and are slightly more chewy than other Turkish Delights I've tried in the past.

The rose flavor is especially exotic and transports you to lands of mystery and intrigue. The beautiful box and the sweet delicious confections make this an excellent gift for anyone you want to spoil.

The confectioners' sugar hits your tongue first and then you bite into a smooth delicious rose flavored candy.

Summary: amazing stuff.
Comment: Of all the different brands of turkish deligh I've tried, this is the ONLY one that stands out. Haci Bekir was also the first brand I'd tried, and I've not found anything that measured up. This has a lovely texture, not goopy or chewy at all. Truly melts in your mouth. It's not cloying or oversweet. This is the confection that dreams are made of.

Summary: The best there is!
Comment: I've tried perhaps half a dozen different brands of Turkish Delight--this is the best. Not overly sweet or musky, nor excessively dusted or chewy, this is like the baby bear's (of the Three Bears) version of this candy: "Just right!"

Editorial Reviews:

The story of the birth of Turkish Delight, begins in the late 1700s, when Ali Muhiddin Haci Bekir, a confectioner to the imperial court in Istanbul, tried to create a soft candy for the sultan. The sultan complained that the hard candy would crack his teeth. The confectioner mixed water, sugar corn starch, cream of tartar, and rosewater. He cooked it up, poured the mixture into a flat pan coated in almond oil, and let it cool. He then sprinkled it with powdered sugar, and cut it into bite size pieces. The sultan was pleased, and Turkish Delight was born.
