Comment: I must say I only purchase these types of fans because the name is worth it. This little fan is very cute and can be placed just about anywhere. This fan is a little loud but not annoying loud as most people suggest. Try putting the fan on the middle speed and you will be just fine. I actually ordered this fan because my cpu fan is broken inside my computer so its working great for that. When my computer is not in use I use it as a regular fan. The price and size of it is completely worth it. Again its very powerful.

Summary: Good while it lasted....Warranty is worthless
Comment: This fan seemed great at first--it was quiet and powerful. After about 2 weeks of use, it started making a rattling sound on the higher speeds. After 2 years of occasional use, it stopped working altogether yesterday. Even though it is technically under warranty still, the warranty is not worth anything. To get it repaired, you have to not only pay to ship it back to Vornado, but they make you include a check for $20 for return shipping & handling. Plus, they say it will take 3-5 weeks to repair. Considering we got the fan for $31, it is not at all worth it to act on the warranty. Maybe ours was just defective...

I was looking for a small, quiet, desktop fan for our home office, which would nicely circulate the air. The Vornado 530B 3 Speed Compact Air Circulator certainly fits the bill and the price is great.
I also love how quiet this fan is when it is turned on. The last think I want to hear is a noisy fan while I am busy working on the computer. I don't even notice it while it is running and often forget it is on because it is so quiet!!
