Summary: Fantastic deal!
Comment: After reading the reviews I wasn't sure if I should order this light set. However, the price is fantastic and I have heard good things about Malibu from other websites so I gave it a try. The lights arrived yesterday in a very nice box. I was happy to find the parts all organized and packed with care. I set up an assembly line on my patio and put all of the tier lights and flood lights together within an hour. The directions could use some help but to be honest, I just used the picture to assemble everything. I set out my lights, clamped them to the wire, buried the wire and pushed the lights into the ground. Easy stuff and they look very nice. I replaced some of the really old Malibu metal tier lights that came with the house and I like the plastic better. I'm 100% happy with this set and I'm thinking about getting another for adding lights to the front of my house. What a great deal!

Comment: Unlike other reviewers, I found the product to be simple to assemble and easy to install. I have had a similar set of lights that has ringed my deck for nearly ten years. The lights are on at dusk and off at dawn - 365 days a year. I have had to replace one or two bulbs of the whole lot in that length of time. The package had everything that I needed to install the lights, nothing missing, nothing broken. While they are not high end stuff, they work well and hold up to hot summers and icy-cold winters - and have for years.

Summary: Read Amazon Descriptions carefully!
Comment: The only Malibu light set I have ever purchased had a power supply, which also encloses the timer. I saw a set on Amazon, and purchased it. Unfortunately, it does not contain a timer. Merely the power supply (which is listed) which includes a light sensor to automatically turn it on and off. The light sensor is not listed in any manner in the product listing. Not sure this is a Malibu matter, more one for the way Amazon depicts products. I advise caution before ordering to ensure this is what you want. To Amazon's credit, they are refunding the full price plus shipping.

Summary: Do not buy these lights at ANY price - do not accept as a gift
Comment: I bought these lights and opened the box to find that the entire set had to be assembled from cheap plastic pieces. You have to wire the lights...everything!!! The instructions are dismal. The last time I experienced something this awful was once when I bought a hibachi grill back in the 70's that had to be assembled. It took us 3 hours to figure out the instructions and assemble this set of lights. This product comes under the heading of 'Things that should never have been allowed to be manufactured'.

Low glare lighting for garden landscaping or to outline a walk or steps, the Malibu LX58720P low voltage lighting kit is a great DIY project. The kit includes 14 tier lights and 6 Zoom Floodlights, which can be changed to spot lights with a turn of the wrist. The fixtures can be arranged in any pattern along the 100 feet of cable included with the kit. Each 12-volt 4-watt fixture is attached to the cable with a quick clamp system, which also allows for additional fixtures to be added as needed. Power is supplied by an 80-watt Photo Control power pack that plugs into any standard grounded household outlet. --C. Dwight Barnett
