Comment: The Groom mate is a simple trimmer that keeps your unwanted nose hairs in check with ease. It is easy to use, easy to clean, and easy to store. It's design provides almost no way for it to break. Just insert he groom mate and twist the bottom half to trim. My girl is most pleased to no longer be bothered by my grosser facial hair.

Comment: I recently purchased one of these nose hair trimmers for my husband as a gift and decided to write this review for all those woman out there that have been putting up with the men in their lives looking like cavemen.
"George" doesn't seem to enjoy fine tuning his looks and I had gotten fed up with him going out in public looking so unkempt. I don't understand you guys not spending a couple of extra minutes in front of a mirror and dealing with such obvious grooming issues as extra strands of hairs sticking out of your nostrils. COME ON!
Anyway, my husband has been using this nose hair trimmer now for about 2 months and admits that it is the first trimmer that he does not mind using. His number one complaint (or excuse) for not wanting to trim his nose hairs is that it is just too painful. I have never heard him yell or anything but he claims that almost every time he has trimmed his hair in the past that he ends up pulling them out by the roots. He is happy with this new trimmer telling me that it is very gentle and that it is easy to use with no pulling. He still has room for improvement in the grooming department but at least I have managed to tackle one very annoying grooming issue.
Ladies, do yourself a favor and buy your man a nose hair trimmer. Everyone will be happy!

Summary: No More Nose Hair
Comment: I find the Platinum XL nose hair trimmer by Groom Mate to be a pretty cool little device. I had used a rotary trimmer before that did not use batteries and found it difficult to use. Not so with the Platinum XL. It is actually a pleasure to use. I had become so used to pulling out my nostril hairs every time I used any sort of trimmer in the past
that I was pleasantly surprised when after using this nose hair trimmer that I had not only trimmed my hairs effortlessly but without pain.
It is very solid, compact, slick looking and well made. The free shipping was an added bonus as well as the great communication from the company which also manufactures this wonderful device.

Summary: My search is over - I found the perfect trimmer.
Comment: I finally found what I consider to be the perfect nose hair trimmer. I, like many reviewers here, have tried lots of different devices to combat those evil nose hairs. I used to have my wife pluck them out which is probably one of the more painful things that you can have done to yourself. I tried scissors and a few different battery operated trimmers and either they just simply did not work from the beginning or they wore out very quickly.
I actually have a friend who purchased one of these Platinum XL trimmers on Amazon and he liked it so much that he told me about it. So, I figured what the heck. Well, I have to tell you that it is simplicity at its best. A very simple design with great craftsmanship. For a smaller than average sized trimmer it is surprisingly heavy mainly because it is solid stainless steel. To use it, as I found out after a couple of tries, you simply rotate the bottom portion of the handle back and forth in a steady motion and hold the tip of the trimmer in your
nostril about 1/4" to 1/2". Before you know it your nose hairs are trimmed and there is absolutely no pain or pulling.
You can either blow the hairs out or hold the end under running water to rinse. This trimmer also comes with a lifetime warranty that covers anything that could possibly go wrong with it.
This is a must have grooming item for any man (or woman?) out there that
is fed up with all the other trimmers out there that either don't work or are too painful to use.

Comment: I purchased this tool after reading the excellent reviews. I wonder if I got the correct instrument? This thing is worthless! It is cumbersome to use and does not get the job done! I have resorted to using scissors. At least they snip the hairs!
