Comment: . I've used Purpose cleasing bar since 1996 when a family member turned me on to it.
I currently work in an enviroment where my skin comes in contact with a lot of dust and at one point suffered badly with skin irritations.
I had never had really had a problem that before. But difference after using purpose was amazing.
Lately the cleasing bar has been a bit scarce in my area and I was afrain that it might be discontinued like so many items once you find something that works. Needless to say, I was glad to see that Amazon carries this product.

Summary: only soap that does not give me a rash
Comment: 18 years ago, I developed a hypersensitivity to ingredients common in cosmetics, soaps, skin creams, and shampoos. It started as a small rash on my face and progressed to my entire face, my ears, and my hands and arms.
My dermatologist was unable to identify the exact ingredient(s) causing my rashes but recommended J&J Purpose soap. My dermatologist told me that most products advertised as hypoallergenic mean that only 1 in 10,000 people will get a rash from them. He told me that I am that 1 in 10,000th person. (This sucks!)
From my skin's point of view, this is the only bar soap that is hypoallergenic. It has very few ingredients so there is less chance of it containing an ingredient to which I will develop a sensitivity. In 18 years, the company has NEVER changed the formula -- this is good news for those of us with sensitive skin. I can't tell you the number of lotions and shampoos I have had to stop using because the manufacturer "improved" the formula.
It is the only soap I buy now. It is the only soap that does not give me a contact dermatitis rash. I have bars of it by every sink in the house. I take it with me when I travel. If you have ever had a contact dermatitis rash, you know how unpleasant they can be, especially when it progresses to tiny itchy blisters that bleed.
When my husband started to develop red areas on his skin, he tried this soap too. It got rid of most of the red areas (all except his rosacea and fungus caused rashes). He now travels with a bar of it also.
I highly recommend trying this soap if you seem to get itchy spots on your hands after washing with other soaps.

Summary: Saved my Life!...
Comment: When I was a teenager my complexion was, whe'll not to great. My skin doctor recommended Purpose soap and Benzac a/c wash 10%. With in 5 days my face was perfectly clear and has stayed that way since. Considering my acne was so bad that I would not get out of the car, painful & red all the time. This soap and some good advice saved my young life.
