Customer Rating: Summary: Essential for 1-2 cup servings Comment: I have a 5 cup Zojirushi rice cooker, which works great. The problem is that 2 cup servings just do not come out nearly as good as 3 - 5 cup servings. The 2 cup servings were more compacted, soggy, and less fluffy. Since one family member decided to cut down on rice consumption, we needed a solution. This was the perfect answer. 2 cup servings come out just right - fluffy, soft, and delicious! Further proof that you always need the right tool, no matter what the task. The little music tunes when it starts and finished make all the girls smile and the rice comes out perfect everytime. Comment: I have had mine several months now and I am very pleased with it! We are a small family and I am able to cook the amounts I need with this cooker. I was worried that I was spending too much for it but now I am glad I spent the extra money for this brand/model. I wanted to cook oatmeal in it and it does the steelcut oats very well. The only problem we have is that my husband wants plain oats and I keep adding things like fresh blueberries and vanilla when I start it. We do agree on the rice. Our favorite at the moment is Bhutan red rice. Cook on brown rice setting and enjoy! Be sure to check your setting EVERY TIME and don't lose your measure cup. I measured the measure cup but I forgot to write it down in my receipe book. I need to do that before I lose the cup. HIGHLY recommended. PS...Has anyone cooked beans with rice in it yet?? What we like about this little one (apart from the slick stainless steel looks) is that for one meal for 2-4 people, it is just the right size.
