Summary: How did we live without this the first time around?
Comment: I have to say that this is the best thing that happened to our family. With my first son, we had the witching hour every night at 8pm. He screamed and screamed and screamed. Nothing worked. We plied him with Mylicon with no results. I went off all dairy products in an effort to ease his tummy aches from the dairy in my diet. That helped a bit, but really, for the first six months, he was very colicky.
I have read many things about gripe water since then and bought a bottle of baby's bliss gripe water right before my second son was due. About a week after he was born, he was crying from being gassy. So, I gave him a dose. He took it and was relaxed and happy within 10 minutes. We've used it daily since then.
I like Baby's Bliss better than Wellements because it does not need to be refrigerated. It's bad enough your baby is crying when you are trying to give a dose, but to give it ice cold is no fun. So, we stick with Baby's Bliss. I am extremely happy with the results.

Summary: Baby Bliss is Great
Comment: I bought this because my 1 week old daughter would wake up out of her sleep screaming. Soon after I would hear the loudest gas rumble throughout her belly, fart, or poop and she would be fine until the urge came again. The box said that it was for babies 2 weeks and older but I just couldn't stand to see her in this condition so I gave her only 1/4 of a teaspoon. Wow!!! It worked in less than a minute. I put it right into her bottle with 1 ounce of milk (breast). She sucked it down with a few funny faces, as if she knew it was in there, and was feeling fine. She was probably able to sleep within 10 minutes but the screaming stopped instantly. The package says that it is supposed to work within 5 to 20 minutes I believe, but it worked quicker for us. Just be careful if you get the apple flavored one. When I was researching the product, I found that there was a recall on it. I haven't used that flavor, I kept with the the original one. Hope this helps!!!

Summary: Didn't work with reflux
Comment: I tried this before my child was diagnosed with reflux, it didn't work but I was told by friends it works for their children. If it doesn't help your fussy child after 4 months, check with a pediatric GI doctor, they can prescribe something stronger.

Summary: Mom of 4 says *MIRACLE*!
Comment: Baby Bliss Gripe Water is a miracle worker! I started using it on my fourth child when he was 4 weeks old, and it transformed him into a new, happy baby. My first child also had colic, so I knew right away what I would be in for. I headed to the pediatrician hoping that she would have some better advice than I had gotten w/my first child 16 years prior, only to be told "yup, he's got colic, that sucks". Well, I have never subscribed to the belief that colic doesn't hurt a baby. It just doesn't make sense that there isn't a reason for the crying, and my mother instincts knew better! I started my son on the 1 syringe dose about 5 times a day and saw him transform. Before he would cry at everything. Every burp, every time he had gas, every time he dirtied his diaper, EVERYTHING. Even yawning seemed to irritate him. After starting him on the gripe water, you could hear his little tummy calming down, it wasn't tight anymore, and he just had this look of relief on his face. No more crying spells from 6 pm to 10 pm, and he spends most of the day just plain happy. He is now 7 weeks old, and we use 1 syringe 2 times per day. Don't believe the hype that baby just has to suffer and so do you. And don't feel bad for not taking your pediatricians advise; trust your instincts. They have been schooled only in modern medicine, and told that natural remedies are bad. Don't believe it! This stuff worked a miracle on my son, and allowed him to be a happy baby!

Comment: I have heard great things about gripewater but the day after I received mine, there was an article in the newspaper warning you not to use it. So now I am afraid to use it.
