Customer Rating: Summary: I purchased 2, mixed reviews.... Comment: I bought 2 of these ear pieces. Mine works fine, but my girlfriend's doesn't work at all. I plan on returning it and getting another one because I like the small size and the easy set up of the Cardo 700. I upgraded from the Cardo 500 that I bought in March of 2007 (I still use it to this day- a great buy) and the 500 has worked through all sorts of weather and conditions (I'm a police officer and a member of the Air National Guard.)
All in all, if you get one that works, it's great.
Customer Rating: Summary: Bluetooth Comment: I have tried 4 different bluetooth models/makes. Some in the $25 range all the way up to $100. The bottom line is fit and sound. I have not found one that has both benefits, and I have had one just quit. This model while functional and easy to use was floppy on the ear and one of my least favorites. It has been frustrating, when most of the cell phones are free or nearly so and the bluetooth sets while not that expensive, are such a small piece of hardware for the price. Not pleased. I think it is the latest rip off in the personal electronics market.
Customer Rating: Summary: Pretty good head set Comment: PROS: Small compact, light weight, multiple functions, easy to use and decent sound quality.
CONS: feels a bit flimsy and needs a better ear loop.
OVERALL: Okay headset for $25.
Customer Rating: Summary: Worth the price Comment: This was worth the price, earpiece volume is great, no problem hearing incoming voice. The only problem is that the mic is so far away from my mouth (as a result of such a compact product), that in order to have good voice transmission, I must hold my hand up and "cup" it from the corner of my mouth to the earpiece so my voice can be heard clearly. This product would be perfect if it the mic portion extended a couple inches further towards the mouth.
Customer Rating: Summary: Amazing Comment: After receiving this new gadget, it took me 15 mins to get it running with Skype, (including voice training), then my Virgin Mobile "Super Slice" USA pay-as-you-go cell phone, AND my XDA Orbit UK contract cellphone. All three up and running and paired. Being able to literally switch between the phones by double tapping the device really works.
So in my scenario, I use Skype exclusively ALL the time I am in range of any wireless, (which makes calling either free or pennies to pay)and then when I leave that environment, it is a simple case of double-tapping the earpiece and I can drive safely with no configuring to do at all. And to cap it all, I travel bewtween the US and UK a lot, so when I get off the plane in England, once again, I do not need to do any reconfiguring, it just works. As it is illegal to use a handset whilst driving in the UK, this is especially important....
And all this for $30 ! ( I have paid twice that for a plain vanilla headset ). I highly recommend this bit of kit, hence this review. Well done Cardo people.
