Summary: Worked as Advertised
Comment: I hooked up this device to an old IDE HDD, started up my PC, and the disk was recognized with no trouble at all. I then shutdown, disconnected, hooked up my SATA HDD, started, connected to USB and like it was nothing this new drive was recognized. No problems. True to form. All went perfect.
Such a simple concept yet this product is the only one that has worked for me.

Summary: Way cool "Swiss Army knfe!"
Comment: For the price of typical cable or power supply, this is a fantastic tool. While one of our engineers said there were some drives that didn't work (thus only 4 stars), I've had great luck with it. I used it to copy a laptop drive--no surprise there. But how cool is this: I had a server bolted together with tamper resistant screws and no removable media. I was delighted to find that I could use this to boot an ordinary CD ROM drive.

Comment: I purchased this product after my laptop hard drive crashed. I was able to hook it up to the old SATA drive and recover my data!
The only thing I can say negatively about this product is that is has way too many wires, and the instructions leave a bit to be desired.

Comment: This works, but is a hassle to set up and more than a little cumbersome. I think I'd try and find something a little easier to use the next time.

Summary: pay attention to hard drive switch
Comment: I only tried it with my 120G Seagate IDE drive, and it made the drive fail and my data were lost. The reason could be that the drive was not on master setting on the first try. I haven't try with other drives, so not sure if it really works or not. Anyway it is a bad experience for me. Maybe I should buy other ones with higher price.
