Comment: This upgrade LED bulb replaces the original and it sure works nice. The light is white now and much brighter than the original.
These upgrades LED bulbs are outstanding and makes the flashlight function much better than it was new.

Comment: This module turns your 3 cell maglite into a much better flashlight.
The upgrade module seems brighter than incandescent bulbs, even halogen bulbs, and throws a brilliant white beam.
The batteries last more than four times longer than with the original incandescent lamp. The beam is still focusable via the rotating maglite head as before the upgrade.
This module will probably outlast your flashlight as it is rated for 50,000 hours of continuous use. Another thing, it will not easily break with shock like a fragile glass bulb.
To sum it all up; greater reliability, more light, longer battery life, no problems.

Summary: A Nice Upgade for an Old MagLite
Comment: I purchased this upgrade from Amazon for an old MagLite that was getting "long in the tooth". The two cell flashlight wasn't very bright and I was about ready to toss it and buy a new LED flashlight(until I saw how expensive they were!). I wasn't aware that I could upgrade my old MagLite until I saw the LED upgrade item available at Amazon.
I was a little disappointed when I received the upgrade, it looked just like the tiny old bulb in the flashlight that I was replacing. Well anyway, it took about a minute to unscrew the flashlight and replace the old bulb and reassamble with the upgrade bulb. I never bothered changing the old batteries. When I turned the flashlight on I was amazed...a blinding blue-white light was the result. I could hardly beieive it! I strongly recommend this upgrade for your old MagLite. The mechanical build quality of MagLite flashlights is superb, now the light beam matches it. Highly Recommended,

Comment: i purchased a 3d led blue maglite from amazon and wanted a super bright led.i got a half as bright led,then my 2dcell mag that I also purchased from amazon. so i thought maybe i got an old mag 1st gen led flashlight.mmm so gambled with this upgrade..got it and now it a little brighter then 2d cell that came w/the 2dcell mag .but TOTAL I PAID 55 DOLLARS FOR THE MAG AND THE UPGRADE, + shipping,beware of 1st gen led mags!thats what i get for getting a blue color mag that nobody carrys in stores.
