Spotlight customer reviews: Customer Rating: Summary: Works, but has a couple issues Comment: If you buy this cable, I am going to assume you will be using BitPim to access your phone. I have an LG VX5200, and the only problems I encountered were that you had to have the phone off, then open BitPim and plug the phone in, then turn the phone on, in order for the program to recognize it. Also, the cable with all of a sudden 'disconnect' and then 're-connect' without warning, every 30 seconds or so. It doesn't physically disconnect, only it drops the signal and then finds it again. SUPER annoying. but overall, it accomplished what i wanted it to... eventually... Customer Rating: Summary: Does what it says it does. Comment: I had no problem using this cable with a Vx8100 and the bitpim software. Comment: I'm not sure why other people seemed to have problems with this cable; the one that I ordered works like a charm! The mini-CD USB driver disk supplied the proper files for my WinXP (sp2) PC after plugging it in, BitPIM found the phone quickly and accurately, and I was able to copy everything from my old phone to my computer without any problems (phonebook, pix, etc). I also bought the Bargaincell- 3-Piece Value Combo Pack Of LG Chocolate VX8500, VX8600, KG800, Env VX9900 Includes: Vehicle Cigarette Lighter Power Charger with IC Chip + USB Data Cable + Home Wall Travel Plug in Ac Charger from Bargaincell for my new vx9900 (enV), and the drivers on this disk worked for that cable as well. This is good, because the disk supplied with that other package did not work correctly (see my review of that product for details).
