Just hook it up to your computer, adjust the zoom on the projector, and it focuses by itself! The picture is clear and the colors very good. Works well with my Mac. My previous projector, also an NEC, was terrific, but took up a huge amount of space in my carry-on suitcase. This projector makes packing much easier, and it still gives a clear, bright image. If you need to project from a VCR, you'll need to choose a different unit, as this one only accepts input from the computer video port.
