Comment: I really like these shoes. I use them for weightlifting/running. My only warning is that they run quite big. I had to order 1.5 sizes smaller than I usually do, but they work fine. My first pair got torn up a lot around the lace-holes, but I think that was because they were too big. My current pair has no problems so far.

Comment: Some guys I work with on my Army dive team swear by these as dive booties because you can take your fins off and move out cross country without having to stop and put on boots. I bought a pair to try out and thought they were ok. I have kind of a wide foot and low arches so this shoe isn't really made for my foot.

Comment: I bought these on looks only. The simple design, along with nice monochrome jet black color really caught my eye. I have never owned a pair of Chuck Taylor's before. I now experienced the "hype" of what Converse sneakers are about. I will never make the mistake of wearing/buying or even recommending Chuck Taylor sneakers ever again.
Everything that I could possibly not like in shoe is present within this cheaply made piece of textile & rubber.
1) Even with Dr. Scholl's supported insoles I still feel like I'm walking barefoot.
2) Not recommended for cold/wet or any type of harsh weather. The shoe layer is paper thin, You will feel everything through these shoes (with or without socks)
3) Unbeknown to me at the time, I purchashed a pair not knowing that you have to buy a size smaller than your regular shoe size. The shoe is really narrow, & I feel like I'm walking around in clown shoes.
The upper portion of the shoes flops over like withered dying flower.
It is not suited for ANYTHING...NOT CASUAL WEAR, NOT RUNNING, NOT WALKING, NOT ANYTHING. These things are just eye candy, and should be for display purposes only. They are so horrible, Converse should be ashamed of themselves for selling this so-called piece of footwear.
OVERALL, THIS IS THE WORST PAIR OF SNEAKERS I HAVE EVER OWNED IN MY ENTIRE LIFE. IT IS NOT WORTH A DIME TO SPEND AND/OR WEAR THESE PITIFULLY MADE AUDACIOUS SNEAKERS.

Summary: Absolutely love this shoe
Comment: I have always liked the looks of chuck taylors. I owned a pair in 6th grade and haven't had one since. It was one of those things where I thought it looked good on other people, but not on me. Then, while strolling through Macy's, I find a red pair in my size for $10. I bought it and now love the looks of it. It has gone downhill since then - I bought the all black Chuck's about a week later, and will probably get another color in another few weeks. These shoes are awesome, and now rank up there with adidas sambas as my favorite shoes.
