Summary: best product i've tried
Comment: I've tried so many different products and nothing fixed my poofy, curly hair. I used this stuff and my hair never got poofy, plus it got rid of frizz and made my curls defined and more like spiral curls instead of just poofy curls! It's hands down the best product I've tried! It is pretty expensive but it is definitely worth it if you have the same hair type/hair problems as me. If you have wavy hair I wouldn't recommend it because you probably wouldn't get the same results. But I highly recommend it to anyone with curly hair that is frizzy or poofy.

Summary: not for thin, wavy hair
Comment: I have long, thin, wavy hair that, depending on the product it can go to lion-like curls, specially if I use a diffuser hair drier.
My friend uses this product and it does look great on her. She has tons of hair, curly, very healthy and what this cream does to her hair is wonderful. Curls have their shape and to touch are soft, they have movement, they are alive.
But, to me, it is different. Even when using a very small amount of cream, my hair sticks together to the head, curls don't form, my hair is sticky. I guess this product is not meant for thin hair.
I do like the smell, though, very natural, very fresh.

Summary: Great but expensive
Comment: Maybe I'm weird, or maybe the other reviewers are weird... but I think it smells great, to start with.
I have really fine hair that is naturally frizzy... as opposed to naturally curly. This stuff works great for me. It's light weight, so it doesn't look like I've got product in my hair. In fact, my hubby can still run his fingers through my curls and waves and not get sticky or stuck. I DO think a little goes a long way. If I put too much in, my hair gets sticky and stiff. I just work a gumball sized portion into my hair quickly after a shower with my fingers and let my mop air dry. No frizzies, nicely defined soft curls. Love it! I even use it dry in a pinch, though I do like their smoothing fluid better for that.
My only gripe is that it's really expensive. I know it's all natural (whatever that really means) ingredients and that it was never tested on animals-- so I don't mind supporting Aveda because of that. But come on-- does it really have to be THAT expensive, guys?
Oh- and one more caution? If you use it in the summer, bees will love your head because you smell like an uber-flower. That's the burden of botanicals!

Summary: Just OK
Comment: I really was unimpressed with this product. I bought it due to a glowing recommendation from a few friends, though I should of trusted my stylist who suggested I go with Alterna Life Curls Shape Activator. Instead, I purchased the Aveda Be Curly Conditioner and Curl Enhancer and BOY do I regret it. Not that it's doesn't work, but it's far from fabulous. I just can't wait until I use it up so I can go get some new product.

Comment: Smells a little like bug repellent, but does work well on my naturally straight, fine hair if applied to damp hair and then works into twirls and blown dry. Overall a good product, minus the smell. :P
