Customer Rating: Summary: Kill the Wabbit! Kill the Wabbit! Comment: I like everything about this earpiece EXCEPT 2 THINGS!
#1 THE VOICE RECOGNITION! This feature has a hard time understanding most names - it's as bad as calling a customer service line and getting the old telephone prompts.
EVEN WORSE it seems to go through your address book alphabetically and only ask 3x! I told it to call "Zack" and 1st it asked if I meant "Baxter", the 2nd it asked if I meant "Hal", and the 3rd time it asked if I meant "Mike" (!?) - each time I told it "Zack"
MOST ANNOYING was the last time I said "Zack" it thought I said "Yes" to call "Mike" and it called "Mike"!!!
#2 THE RINGTONE! Incredibly instead of a normal ringing or beeping noise, this earpiece plays a snippit of Wagner's "Ride of the Valkyries" which can be heard at this link about 30 seconds into the clip: http://www.dailymotion.com/video/x4ahv2_wagner-die-walkure-ride-of-the-valk_music (this particular melody was immortalized by Elmer Fudd's lyrics "Kill the Wabbit! Kill the Wabbit! in a classic Bugs Bunny cartoon)!
AND THERE IS NO CHANGING IT - I'm stuck with it and you will be too, so be sure you enjoy the melody! Stupidest unchangeable default ringtone imaginable!
But everything else about the earpiece really is good...
Customer Rating: Summary: Would of been GREAT if they got it right. Comment: I had same problem half people on here did. I would charge forver, then unplugged did not work. I wanted a headset that worked and had long battery life. FOr the price this was it, but this company can't get it together. Unfortunately amazon(and their awesome return service) has bear the cost of shipping of both units I received. If you are looking for head set, I don't know now, but I did find one I will test out later this week. It is a Joby Boom. I discovered it on Bluetooh truth. I would of bought it here on amazon, but the cell guru had it for 50 dollars cheaper. Anyways this is not worth getting until the company fixes this issue.
Customer Rating: Summary: I can hear you now. Comment: This is my first Scala and my second bluetooth headset. I had a Motorolla (can not remember the model, one of the low ends) that went the way of the laundry machine and wanted a replacement. I chose the 700LX because Cardo has a reputation of making some of the loudest headsets on market for a low price.
Pros: This headset does as promised. It is loud enough to hold a conversation while driving (something the Motorolla failed miserably at), and my car is middling at the road noise decibel range. I find the ear loop comfortable (medium sized head), and it does not feel like it is going to fall off every time I tilt my head. The tech support was friendly and they replaced my unit with no fuss (see below).
Cons: I had two DOAs from Amazon. The battery was a dud in both of them. I sent the first back to Amazon, then sent the second dud to Cardo, who replaced it with a working unit. Keeping the headset connected to the phone in standby drained the battery within a day, so that was disappointing. The USB connection for charging is proprietary, so you will need to keep all those extra chargers out.
Overall, I like this unit. I have not had it long enough to see if it falls apart after a year.
Customer Rating: Summary: REALLY GREAT! I can hear in my car, and EVERYONE can hear me fine Comment: This is my first bluetooth headset. I did some research on Amazon to see which one I should chose. This unit, even with its mixed reviews, was most liked by customers who had purchased it over the others I was researching. They mentioned most often that Hearing/being heard was its strong suit. They were right! From day 1 I love how CLEARLY I HEAR MY CALLS AND CALLERS HEAR EVERYTHING I AM SAYING even in my car. People tell me there is little difference in the sound from when I am speaking directly into the phone. So CHEERS that is fabulous and my main concern. It is easy to connect with your phone, (I had a RazorV3 and am about to connect it to a LG Shine) it has a great battery life and is easy to charge. Its very user friendly. I would say if there is any down side it is that the earpiece could be a little more secure feeling. It took me a few uses to find that perfect setting for my ear and I still feel that if I swung my head around really fast, it might fly off. The earpiece itself is kind of wimpy and a man might not like it as well? Although it might actually fit a man better and feel light and secure. The device is very light and you dont notice it too much on your ear. The back side just rests inside the edge of your ear, not intrusive at all. I am really satisfied, and when my husband tried it on he seemed to think it wasnt so bad either, and he totally hates bluetooth headsets. I think this is a great product especially for the price.
Customer Rating: Summary: Lots of background noise, doesn't fit well Comment: This headset was a bit of a disappointment as it has a lot of background noise, sounds a little fuzzy and doesn't stay snug to the ear.
