Summary: EXCELLENT UNIT FOR SMALL WINDOWS =}
Comment: This A/C unit cools very quickly in my large master bedroom. It fits perfectly into the narrow window I have.(15.5 inches wide) The best features are the timers. I am able to set a cooling time for the unit to turn on, and I never have to worry about forgetting and entering a hot room. There's also a timer that can be set for the unit to shut-off as well. It also features an "energy saver" mode, which allows the unit to temporarily turn off when the room has reached the desired temperature, which saves $$$!

Summary: Great Product. Shipping Sucks.
Comment: The product tracking from Ceva Logistics said it would arrive on Monday. Monday came and went with no delivery. I called Ceva and found out that I was supposed to wait around for a call and then they would schedule a delivery. But, since I called, they were ok with scheduling a delivery. So - tip - call the company and set up a delivery the day that tracking shows it is at your local delivery hub. Look up the number to your local delivery hub on the Ceva Logistics website. Don't call the 1-800 number that only has 8-5 central hours. Shipping sucks, but can be managed to be decent.

Summary: Energy Star is nice - Quality not so much
Comment: Eagerly awaited the arrival of this unit, and we have it permanently mounted into the window of our kids room - its once of the only machines that would fit our 50's Andersen casements without carpentry work - the machine works fine, its fairly quiet, and the Energy Star features are nice - it does maintain temperature while switching the compressor AND fan on and off. My gripe is quality - for a machine that's almost $400, every seam is askew, the interior insulation is visible through the front, the panels are all warped, the front isn't aligned with the sides, there are gaps in the frame to the sides of the machine, and the outside air vent was pretty much broken from the get-go - its always open. I'd buy another - but only because I'd HAVE to.

Summary: Frigidaire casement AC unit
Comment: The service was great, but this item is a little to heavy to ship easily.

Summary: this here one's a goodie.
Comment: Thing says it's for a 350 sq ft space...mine is a lot bigger with 12 ft ceilings and it has been cool as a cucumber since I installed this AC. Real quiet. My only beef is that if you have a casement window that isn't exactly the same width as the unit itself, there isn't much there to stabilize it so it doesn't fall out....you kindof have to build a wood frame thinger...but that's didn't really bother me that much.

Editorial Reviews:

Nothing says home comfort like Frigidaire. Nobody delivers better quality, better service or a broader variety of home comfort products. With units ranging from 5,000 BTUH to 28,500 BTUH they provide quiet, efficient and reliable air conditioners for years of trouble-free service. Most included a remote thermostat, clean air filtration and low voltage start-up to add to consumer comfort, convenience and safety. And with their ENERGY STAR qualification for efficiency, they can provide comfort and savings for any room in your home. You expect all this from Frigidaire... and they deliver. How to Choose a Room Air Conditioner Compared to large capacity central units, room air conditioners have several advantages. The initial cost of a room air conditioning unit is significantly lower than the cost of central air. Because room air conditioners are designed for cooling small spaces, operating costs are reduced. And, room air conditioners can provide personalized temperature and humidity controls that central systems cannot. Calculating Cooling Capacity Cooling capacity is the critical factor in properly selecting a room air conditioner. Cooling capacity is measured in British Thermal Units (BTUs) and typical models will range in capacity from 5,000 BTUs to 28,500 BTUs. Choosing an undersized unit will overwork the unit and it will not cool properly. Choosing an oversized unit will cost more to buy and operate and it will not dehumidify properly. We can help you to calculate capacity.
