Spotlight customer reviews: Customer Rating: Summary: ElectroMassage System Electro Massage Electronic Muscle Massager & Personal Toning, Fitness System with Battery Operated Option Comment: For the money, this product will provide a similar experience that you will get at a physical therapist using their electric muscle machines but not the same quality that their more elaborate machines can provide. This unit will provide electronic pulses from very light to more than my body can handle. The strength of the pulse is done through analog dials. One of mine is very loose and moves too easily, so I have to be careful that I don't give myself a jolt. The pulse rate is also analog, which is easy to set. The timer is digital and you have to tap it to raise the time that you want the machine to run. You can get a similar experience to a physical therapist's machine, but you have to do it manually. You cannot program this machine to alternate long stimulus, then short pulses, then long, etc... My therapist wanted me to buy their machine which cost $3,000. The pads don't stick well, but that could be my body. For the money, this product will give you the basic functions. It has some flaws, but it is inexpensive. And to get one of the expensive machines with all the bells and functions, you will need a prescription from your doctor or therapist. By the way, I use this machine to help heal my back muscles - not as a muscle toner for my abs. Customer Rating: Summary: Great Machine! I have been going to the chiropractor for back problems for a few months now, and this is the same type of therapy that he uses. Customer Rating: Summary: Professional Quality Unit Comment: When plugged into an electrical outlet (I haven't tried it with the 9v battery yet - is supposed to have less output that way), this unit gives the same professional quality treatment I get at the Chiropractor. The unit controls 8 electrodes at once, each pair of electrodes can be independently adjusted to the intensity you like. The 2" electrodes are great, the extra 12 1.5" electrodes that came with my unit don't stick very well, even if you wet them a little. The 2" electrodes are the way to go. We also ordered the gloves from the same manufacturer. The gloves aren't quite perfected yet. Had to wet them down really well before they would conduct at all. I've been receiving this type of treatment off & on for a few years now at my chiropractor, my father bought a similar but portable unit (run's off a 9v battery) which I thought I liked until trying this. My dad's unit only controls 4 electrodes, and not independently. Also I can turn his unit up to 100% and still not get the intense contractions I am used to at the chiro. With this unit set at about 33% intensity - I was getting a full intense contraction, and I could adjust the intensity in any area I like during the treatment. It has a timer feature that will let you go for up to an hour, and it has a feature which controls the way that the stimulation is applied. It ranges from a prolonged contraction (15 secs or so) then a rest and repeat, to shorter contraction/rest intervals. The 15 second setting is most similar to what I get at the Dr, so that's what I used at home. After my treatment I went to bed and in the morning woke up feeling so much better - my back was much less stiff than usual. Customer Rating: Summary: One of the best I have tried for the money Comment: I love this item. This is the best in electronic muscle massage and toning. I had a ToneMaster 2100 which was the best. This is the next generation made by Sonic Technology Products. This unit is even better. Small, compact with self-stick adhesive electrode pads for easy, on the run toning. Especially when I am sitting at my desk. The unit has great features such as a timer, 4 individual staions to work 4 muscle groups and is battery operated. This helps me when sitting on an airplane or cannot get out to exercise. This only thing I can say it try it - the company is very good and easy to work with. More Reviews
