Summary: Great tool, but skip the kit
Comment: I bought this tool after I began refinishing some painted woodwork. I got the full kit primarily because it came with the sanding and vacuum attachments. That was a mistake. The sanding attachments are clever, but won't work with paper-backed sandpaper. The paper doesn't hold up. Five small squares of cloth backed sandpaper are included (three different grits), but it's hard to find cloth backed sandpaper later. So I've made little use of the sanding attachments to this point. I also haven't used the vacuum attachment because it's critical to keep the sanding triangle level to the work, else the edges can easily dig into the surface. Adding the vacuum attachment and dragging a stiff hose makes it very difficult to keep the device level.
On the positive side, the sanding action is excellent. This is my first hook-n-loop sander and I'm sold on this type of sandpaper. My only complaint is the very high cost of Fein replacement pads. I'm investigating buying sandpaper in 4.5" rolls and cutting my own pads. I figure I can cut the paper cost by 2/3 that way.
Net net, the tool is excellent but buy it first and then get only the attachments you need after verifying that the attachment works and holds up in your situation.

Comment: Pros.. The tool is well balanced and well designed with very high quality materials.
Pros.. It's a great specialty tool that will eliminate the very painful hands resulting from scraping and removing grout in the future.
Pros.. The motor is much quieter than a popular red belt driven dirt vac. Hearing protection is recommended though.
Pros..Upon opening the package I noticed right away that the power tool was clean and didn't smell like oil or kerosene. Many cheap imported power tools smell that way.
Cons.. The plastic case is huge and will store easily under the bed if your paranoid and feel like guarding it.
Cons..The plastic case design may lack sufficient storage space if you plan to purchase additional accessories. This high qaulity power tool deserves better than the plastic egg carton style tray and can be easily replaced with foam.
Pros.. This high quality power tool fits great in a 20" steel toolbox lined with high density foam.
Cons..Yes cutters and accessories are a little expensive.
Pros..I didnt buy the fancy pivoting $49 hobby tool stand for it.
Instead I drilled and tapped 1/4" 20 TPI holes in 2 old junker pillow blocks then bent a 1" wide x 1/2" thick flat steel into an L shape drilled a 5/8" hole in it. Next attatched bolted (dont own welder) a 3/4" x 1/4" width reducing bar drilled with two 1/4" holes 1/4" from the edge and spaced holes 15/16" apart then ground a slight concave area inbetween the holes.
Pros..The money spent on genuine cutters will most likely help the manufacturer research and design other great quality products just like this one in the future.

Summary: Paid for itself with time saved
Comment: My cousin let me borrow his and I was hooked. I bought one specifically to help with installing some replacement windows. The e-cut blade was superior to a reciprocating saw or hacksaw for cutting through nails to remove trim. You don't have to worry about it plunging farther than you want. Scraper blade removes caulk with almost no effort.
You'll find countless uses for it, especially if you have an old house like me.
