Customer Rating: Summary: KitchenAid blender coupling Comment: Instructions for replacing the coupling are better if you read the other reviews on how to remove the coupling wherein you stick a flat blade screwdriver at the base of the blender to rpevent the motor from turning as opposed to following enclosed instructions.
Part will work perfectly once replaced but YES I do recommend that you pick 2 or 3 pcs at time of order as I can see the part failing after a short while due to the soft compound of the rubber but what the heck it is cheap enough and you can do it yourself.
Customer Rating: Summary: Perfect replacement for broken part Comment: Nice that you can replace this item. We destroyed the original and the based of the blender jar using way too big a chunk of ice making margaritas. Learned our lesson (I hope).
Customer Rating: Summary: Coupler for KitchenAid Blender ? Comment: KitchenAid 9704230 blender coupling. I took our bad coupling off,but haven't bought the new one yet. A KitchenAid site said you had to have a push-on type lid for jar on blender, not the twist on, or it wouldn't work. You had to buy the whole assembly with jar and lid at $45--something about the way the jar fit on the base. Mine is 10 years old, glass jar with twist on lid, but hadn't been used a lot. The jar,lid and base are perfect. I sure hope this coupling will work for me. Has anyone replaced the coupling on one like that? Did it work okay?
Customer Rating: Summary: Much needed relief. Comment: I broke the rubber part on our blender while making baby food for my son and was worried that I would have to purchase a new one. Instead my husband ordered this piece and attached it to the blender. The blender is working well and we have an extra rubber piece just in case. Thank goodness Amazon had this availabe.
Customer Rating: Summary: KitchenAid Blender Coupler Comment: No problem removing the old coupler. I had an old cheap thin 9/32 open end wrench, it fit nicely under the coupler, used channel locks, turned old coupler clockwise and it came right off. Took me two minutes.
