Summary: Fun Summer Action
Comment: My friend is a big Transformers fan and I thought it would be fun to see this on opening night (not the midnight show - the day after). It was quite a good show. Lots of action, decent story line and some pretty good robot action. Granted, there were some low points and silly moments. I suspect the movie was trying to appeal to a broad base, so it put in these moments. But these moments are fleeting - no Jar-Jar Binks mistakes. Overall, I enjoyed the ride and the adventure. It is a tad long, but I think it flowed pretty well. I would recommend for most men and women who like robots, cars and action movies.

Summary: Awsome movie
Comment: Well I started getting into transformers the spring of 2007 when I couldn't go pirate of the carribean 3, and my dad said how about going to see the transformers movie? I thought this will be cool. To be honest I had no idea what transfomers were about or who Optimus Prime was(I wish I had), I bought the old movie I cried and I didn't really know the story it's way more sad than the new. Back to the new movie the first time I watched the new transformers wow!!!! I was blown away the story really good. I had to dock the a movie star because well unless you have a language blocker called the tv guardian you will hear tons of language don't believe me go to pluggedinonline.com and look for yourself. I going to list some wrong with movie but don't get me wrong I love transformers.
For starters bumblebee pees on a government agent, there's a part where there's some talk about something sexual, words like not real sure how to spell it ho are mentioned. So if you want to get this for a young child or anyone I suggest a tv guardian they block out language sexual refrence and blasaphems. Transformers movie has it's problems but didn't quite stop me from lovin it to death. I was so mad when it came theaters I was like oh great another movie I can't go see becuase some people butchered the tranformers! Optimus prime gotta love him he's awesome they kept him the same as the old transfomers prime, I love the voice of optimus I have say Peter Cullen is the best voice. Bumblebee awesomely cute, but boy can he put a fight what I don't get is this stuff about him being smallest and weakest. Then you see him take robots like three times his size weak, yeah right! Oh he is also my favorite car ever the camaro 2009 I almost drool when I see that car. The end was some beautiful I had to keep myself from crying and the only other thing made cry almost was braveheart funny comparison but thats what this movie dose for me. I love when the boy tells the girl shes more than meets the eye. That was cute and kinda funny becuase that was the old saying for transfomers.Like I said best ending ever I don't spoil this movie for anyone but,I love it bumblebee wants to stay with Sam. The it makes you feel I want to meet an alien transformering robot and go on an adventure. Wild ride this movie will suck you in completely for two hours 24 minutes not a boring minute. Just know this is my favorite I had a time being even the slightest tough on it. Hope you get to watch it.

Summary: Conservative Christians Beware of Transformation of Values
Comment: One conservative web-site presented this film as wholesome and entertaining with some action violence and nothing more than a kiss on the moral scale. Well, this is not really the whole story. We had to turn it off without finishing it because of the never ending innuendos and crudeness. One Christian movie review web-site lists this as "offensive"--this is being too kind. The absence of actual "bedroom" scenes does not make a film fit for Christians. Don't let biblical values be transformed into those of the world. If you have conservative biblical values, stay away; certainly don't let your kids have free access to this moral cesspool of a film.

Summary: Schmaltz Plus Tooth Fairy
Comment: Warning: Only for Transformers fans! I should never have bought this DVD, replete with potholes so large the whole thing could fall into another dimension. Jon Voight, John Turturro, Shia LaBeouf, and Josh Duhamel do what they can with this shallow material, earning enough to buy more cars and summer homes. Do yourself a favor and get any "Riddick" film, or the superb "Equilibrium" instead. This kid stuff degenerates into fantasy disguised as Sci-Fi, covered up by layers of special effects.

The best role is that of "Mojo," a broken-legged Chihuahua who would have saved the film if he'd been the sole story. Ultimately, the Cube is a big "so what," and the Transformers, supposedly beings of higher intelligence, call themselves ridiculous names like Optimus Prime.

Schmaltz Alert: A good laugh derived from a scene so filled with Spielbergian Schmaltz as to seem a Spielberg Parody. But no, in the corny School of Spielberg, director Michael Bay delivers a scene with: a tiny blonde girl, a purple "My Pony," and a bag placed under a pillow labeled "My Tooth." But it can't stop there, on no, she must simper and ask one of the clumsy, unscary aliens, "Are you the Tooth Fairy?" Spare yourself.

Editorial Reviews:

"I bought a car. Turned out to be an alien robot. Who knew?" deadpans Sam Witwicky, hero and human heart of Michael Bay's rollicking robot-smackdown fest, Transformers. Witwicky (the sweetly nerdy Shia LaBeouf, channeling a young John Cusack) is the perfect counterpoint to the nearly nonstop exhilarating action. The plot is simple: an alien civil war (the Autobots vs. the evil Decepticons) has spilled onto Earth, and young Sam is caught in the fray by his newly purchased souped-up Camaro. Which has a mind--and identity, as a noble-warrior robot named Bumblebee--of its own. The effects, especially the mind-blowing transformations of the robots into their earthly forms and back again, are stellar.

Fans of the earlier film and TV series will be thrilled at this cutting-edge incarnation, but this version should please all fans of high-adrenaline action. Director Bay gleefully salts the movie with homages to pop-culture touchstones like Raiders of the Lost Ark, King Kong, and the early technothriller WarGames. The actors, though clearly all supporting those kickass robots, are uniformly on-target, including the dashing Josh Duhamel as a U.S. Army sergeant fighting an enemy he never anticipated; Jon Voight, as a tough yet sympathetic Secretary of Defense in over his head; and John Turturro, whose special agent manages to be confidently unctuous, even stripped to his undies. But the film belongs to Bumblebee, Optimus Prime, and the dastardly Megatron--and the wicked stunts they collide in all over the globe. Long live Transformers! --A.T. Hurley
