Customer Rating: Summary: H12 Low Volume Comment: Pros: Very little if any background was heard from people on the other end. Small, compact, and stylish. Easy to setup. Neat charging system where it would magnetically attach to charger, making sure you were charging the headset.
Cons: Low volume, unable to clearly hear unless I was in a quite room, which defeats the purpose of having the noise cancellation. Buttons might be difficult to use if you have big hands. If you lost the charging station no other way to charge the headset. Flimsy plastic clip for ear wrap-around. It felt like it would break easily.
Other Thoughts: The charging station uses Micro-USB. Motorola seems to be switching to this standard now. It also comes with a shirt clip, which is handy for when you don't need it on your ear.
Customer Rating: Summary: Not very very bad.... it may kill your ear once and for all! Comment: Not very very bad.... not sure if it was my specific headset or all are like this but i had a LOT of dropped-calls, (e.g. suddenly you don't hear anything or you hear VERY VERY LOUD NOISE like (microphone near speaker) that i think i just got lucky that headset wasn't near my ear otherwise i would have gone deaf. either way, i ordered another one and returned this one. maybe my specific headset was SUCK. i'll update if that was the case.
Customer Rating: Summary: H12 should be H-12 Comment: Everyone I talk to says I sound like I'm in a tunnel and I'm just not clear when they are listening. This is with my windows rolled up, air conditioner is off, and radio is off as well. I've tried all the volume adjustments and nothing seems to make this device sound better to the other person. It picks up all car background noises and there is absolutely no noise cancelation what-so-ever! If I am inside my home, the sound improves somewhat, but I bought this device mainly to use in the car while driving. If you are looking for a bluetooth headset to use in the car, this is not the device you want to get. Luckily I got this unit for free from a co-worker or it would have been $ out the windows.
Customer Rating: Summary: Crystal talk is a joke Comment: I just got this thing today. This is my first "nice" headset and I was excited to have noise canceling on it. By the end of the day I decided to return it. There is no noise canceling on this thing, zero, not at all! My girlfriend thought I was still talking on my four-year-old cheap Motorola headset hearing every bit of background noise in my car while I was driving (with the windows rolled up). The second issue I had was that the max volume on it was much too low while driving in the car, which with the new California hands free law, is the only reason that I upgraded.
This thing looks very sharp and if I wasn't using this thing for only driving I might keep it just for the trick charging station and the real on and off switch but the bottom line is its just not that great of a headset especially for the 129.00 I paid because I didn't want to wait for it to come in the mail.
Customer Rating: Summary: What a pain Comment: This is the most painful headset I've ever used. The sound quality is no big deal either. The fact that it is not easy to put on and take off quickly makes it so you have to keep it on if you don't want to miss a call. But keeping it on for a couple of hours caused me pain no matter which size ear pad I used. The charger is only for home, so no quick charge in the car in any emergency. The Jawbone is much better for comfort and I've had no problems with it at all as far as sound quality. The jawbone charger is its weak link, however, as with time it becomes loose and difficult to connect to the device.
I'd stick to the old H700, with good noise control, great comfort and the ability to charge anywhere.

The MOTOPURE H12 features Motorola's proprietary CrystalTalk headset technology that makes it possible to have natural phone conversations in dynamic noisy environments. It uses two microphones to separate the user's voice from background and wind noise, enhancing the user's voice and channeling pure, clear audio directly into the user's ear. TrueComfort design is the result of an intensive two-year ergonomic measurement study of the human ear, research that spanned age, sex and race. The result: a fit that is optimized around comfort, style and audio performance. Minimalist and sleek, the H12 is smaller than a lipstick or golf tee and weighs only 12 grams. The H12 comes with matching desktop charger, charging case and carrying solution - a complete solution to carry, help protect, and charge in style. Unit Dimensions - 42x18 x12mm Wireless Range - Up to 10m (33ft) Bluetooth
