Customer Rating: Summary: Returning to the roots? Comment: I must admit I was not so happy to hear about a new album from Max Cavalera. His work with Soulfly is something I cannot stand. Since he departed from Sepultura his career along his new band was erratic and soft-sided, compared to the brutality he used to exhibit in albums Morbid Visions or Arise.
Well... this time he has return with a new band along his brother (who also left Sepultura) The result is a solid thrash metal album with modern touches here and there. I listened to the tracks in their mySpace and the music reminds me a lot of Sepultura (Chaos AD era) These are good news, uh?
I hope these two guy forget about rivalities and stupid egos and start doing great hard music again. This is the first step. I don't want to say that is a comeback... it's just... the beginning.
Suggestion: Go to their mySpace and listen to the tracks.
Customer Rating: Summary: Off the Hook! Comment: Another solid record by Max Cavalera. I really like the fact that this CD is straightforward and aggressive. Each song builds on the next and the formula works. This is what Max needed, pull it together with his past comrades and rock on!!!
Customer Rating: Summary: Another Great album from Max and crew Comment: It's great to see Max and his brother back together and making music. The Cavalera Conspiracy album is excellent and what we expect from Max. Heavy, Fast and full of great percussion and Metal!
Stop reading this and go pick it up RIGHT NOW!
Customer Rating: Summary: Awsome !!!! Comment: This is pure metal and a very good album. Buy it you will like it.!!!!
Customer Rating: Summary: Giving this 5 stars Comment: Nice to see the two brothers back together again. This CD is worth what I paid for, I'm 36 years old and tend to not care about modern metal. But this sort of music stands its ground. I bought the mp3 download and I'm not disappointed.
The songs are not really Soulfly versus Sepultura. You have to listen to this to really appreciate the songs.
Good going Max and Igor Cavelera!

The Cavalera Conspiracy is about a sense of being unleashed, says vocalist/guitarist Max Cavalera. You bottle a monster for 10 years and then let it out. It s explosive, and we waited a long time for this beast to be set free. It s true. The wait is over. And the time is now. Many said it would never happen, that Max and Iggor Cavalera, the Brazilian brothers and visionaries that formed the groundbreaking metal band Sepultura in 1983 would reunite to make electrifying music together again. Despite having spent 12 years apart, the inescapable fact remains: Max and Iggor share blood and are musical soulmates. Their time away from each other fostered musical growth leading to the newly inspired metallic magic. Hence, the Cavalera Conspiracy was born. While the Cavalera Conspiracy and their Roadrunner Records debut Inflikted may seem like the closest we ll get to a Sepultura reunion, make no mistake. The Cavalera Conspiracy is its own maniacal, untamable beast with its own set of rules.
